Dynamic Que: Why it isn't as bad as you think (unless you are an Elo God)

Let me make one thing clear from the start: I personally miss the old Solo Que system where you could either duo or just go by yourself. If it were up to me, I'd keep the new champion select and scrap Dynamic Que for the old system, because I play largely solo or with ONE friend, in the rarity that I do (I've probably dynamically que'd 5 times this season and duod 10 times). Overall, I believe the old system would give me a better experience, BUT, there is one thing many of you aren't seeming to consider, or are just looking at things the wrong way.

The first misconception that utterly irritates me to no bounds is that rank no longer matters.

WHAT? HOW COULD HE SAY THAT? HE PLAYS SOLO, DOESN'T HE KNOW THAT'S HOLDING HIM BACK, IN ELO HECK?

Your ranking still matter. You don't have to like it, you may think you deserve better, but in reality, you're just falling into that common cesspit of an opinion low elo players have about "elo hell." How clearly, these premades (cough team *cough) are trolling them, are being big fat meany pantses, or just refuse to communicate and cause them to lose precious elo. Hate to break it to you, but whether that team was a premade or solo makes no difference, you can still carry them, and in fact, it should be easier because they should be communicating among themselves in voice chat. If they ignore your play calls, that's just something you're gonna have to live with. I've learned, that if you are clearly doing better than your teammates, they WILL listen to you, so if you deserve to be listened to, it'll happen.

Before anyone goes on this whole "revealing the truth about Apocyliptic, the low elo scrub," rampage, I'll do it for you. Here is my Op.gg: http://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=Apocyliptic

I have played, in total, 256 ranked games this season, half of that being spent in around gold 5, and the rest of the time being spent in Gold 1. I ended season 5 Gold 5, and it was my only ranked season thus far so there is nothing to go on beyond that. What is my reasons for showing you this? I have played largely solo and I have climbed. The differences I've noticed in the old system and the new? Practically non-existent. Sure, I've ran into premades before, but believe it or not, premades are not always evil bloodsuckers trying to ruin your day.

More often than not, premades are jolly good folks, and even if they aren't, I can find ways to enjoy it either way. It gives me the ability to be more social with people, who if they all que'd up one at a time, would probably take things way more seriously, and taking things way seriously often leads to a more general level of toxicity. I have played COUNTLESS ranked games, won some, lost some, and at this point, believe me, I take my ranked play seriously, but I can handle a loss. I can have FUN losing. I know that comes as a shock to most of the league community, but if you take it as what it is, a game to be enjoyed, then you'll see what I mean, but I am going on a large rant here (the good old fuck toxic players kind).

That's two major reasons out of the way, but I'm not gonna sit here and praise Dynamic Que like the god Riot seems to proclaim it is, because at the end of they day, I just don't find playing with and against premades as fun as the old system of solo and duo Que. What people have to understand is how entirely subjective that truly is.

I might blow your mind away with this statement, but a lot of people like Dynamic Que. The new Que allows them to combine the playing with friends and competitiveness of ranked all into one. Some people, in fact, I'd be willing to bet the majority of people, like that idea.

I'm not going to get into the debate over which is better, because at the end of the day, that is subjective, and personally I think if Riot keeps imposing this "more casual ranked" environment, it's gonna push most of their playerbase out over time. This doesn't mean Dynamic Que is this evil system that nobody really wants, but Riot pushes forward anyway because they're too "prideful," or what have it. I don't like Riot Games, I don't believe it is an entirely consumer friendly developer, but they aren't that stupid. They wouldn't push something forward nobody really wanted without good cause or reason.

Now, as for the new que being shitty for players around diamond 3 and above, I completely agree. They need a major overhaul up there, and Riot is already beginning to do that, albeit this auto-fill feature not solving much of anything. However, it shows they are trying, and at this stage, that's what matters.
