Preseason should be focused on bringing bruisers and Assassins back into viability

Apparently pre-season is gonna be pretty intense with the new rune system. I think that more than just the new rune system, items should be changed in order to make the currently struggling bruiser and assassin class back into viability. This should be done by either nerfing support items, or just actually giving them items that will allow them to stick to their target or get there in some way.

Just remove all the bullshit ideas from the Assassin kits, mainly the "Delayed Damage"

I mean, it's pretty simple on what to do:

  • Nerf ADC damage by nerfing the stats they get on items/passives's damaging effects. (Reverting costs would just bring us back to the previous issue.) (Probably cut the passive on Lord Dom's in half, non-armor pen one.)

  • Nerf tanks being too tanky and too much CC (Sej, Zac, Maokai). Potentially compensate Zac with some reverts to his nerfs that refused to touch his absurd CC.

  • Nerf support items so other classes can't abuse them/can't make ADCs super broken. Locket HP ratio to 15%. Ardent Censer to 15% attack speed. Knight's Vow to probably 50 armor total or something (maybe the addition of CDR broke it?).

  • Shield stacking was never an issue until +% Heal/Shield Power was introduced as a stat; nerf that across the board. Ardent to 8%, Redemption to 8%, Mikeals to 16%, and Forbidden Idol to 6%.

  • Frozen Mallet is melee only. Fuck you Kog'Maw and especially you too Gnar.

  • Change Rageblade's Phantom Hit into probably it's old effect of AoE damage because Phantom Hit is an unbalanceable effect due to certain champions having much more powerful onhits than others (Kog'Maw). Give double stacking to melee champions so bruisers can have their item back.

  • Give bruisers new items because they were cheated out of a class update that would give them items.

  • Nerf Gnar's Q damage by 5/10/15/20/25. Never make Gnar viable until they change his kit so he doesn't invalidate melee champions.

  • Never make Jayce viable until they change his kit so he doesn't invalidate melee champions.

  • Nerf Stoneplate because this item is horrifically broken and just a stupid bandaid fix to broken ADC damage.

  • Remove Bramble Vest and Thornmail from the game. Unhealthy, bad design and no 900 gold item should warp the game.

  • Ranged champions (or maybe all champions, assuming Fiora would need this nerf) get diminishing returns for lifesteals/just nerf lifestealing with ranged, but not too heavily since nerfing ADC damage across the board already reduces the amount they heal.

  • Fix mage itemization by nerfing Morello and Lost Chapter and buffing other items (cost cut to Deathcap, random +5 AP to some items, maybe make RoA max at 110 AP, -200 cost to Ludens and AP ratio on passive increased to 20%, Rylais up to 2900 gold, +100 HP, +5 AP, ect).

  • Change Duskblade for like the 5th fucking time into it's original build and passive because assassins don't need, nor want, this much CDR. They need kill potential.

I think the entire system is going to be so out of wack with the new runes, or at least balance, that we won't know what is going to be needed to be buffed and nerfed once the storm comes.

nerf tanks, ADCs and supports either directly or indirectly and bruisers assassins will become good again

those 3 have power-creeped both groups out of the game

IMO here's my changelist for season 8:

-Nerf tank items across the board -Buff assassins -Nerf crit chance items -BUFF Kindred FFS HOLY SHIT EVERYONE AGREES SHES BAD -New runes -Fix hitboxes -Firmly decide which champions are supposed to be tanks and which are supposed to be bruisers and balance accordingly -Give mages more itemization options (Magic crit chance maybe?)

Probably more important stuff I'm missing*[slayer-pantheon-thumbs]*
