@Riot: Could you damn please nerf Fiora?

Poke from range, mobility, safety, true damage based on MAX LIFE, a lot of sustain, critical, can block almost anything and it's a hell to lane against, even if you know how to counter her... oh yeah her passive is "hard to proc" OH WAIT NO IT ISNT, SHE HAS A LOT OF MOBILITY TO PROC HER PASSIVE AND SHE CAN DO SO FROM RANGE AND THROUGH MINIONS.

Ahhh also recently (5 mins ago) a Fiora raped my whole team 1 vs 5 :DDDDD

Best way to counter Fiora; if the player is really bad, if you have enough burst to melt her down in 1.8 seconds or if you can CC her to death.... oh yeah best counterplay EVER

Since when was Fiora OP?

Have you ever seen a diamond play Fiora? She has a lot of pros and very few (if any) cons. She doesn't have a lot of windows of opportunity, but she can always take advantage of yours. If Fiora misses a skill, she just backs away. If you miss a skill or she parries you then you either take a ton of damage or you die. It only gets worse as the game goes on since she scales hard.

She's essentially a lane bully that also gets to outscale you. If you die to her you lose. If you don't stop her from farming you also lose.

That is true with almost all Diamond players. They are able to almost negate any negatives the champion has because of skill. The Player makes the Champion, not the other way around.

Then tell me, what are Fiora's negatives then?

I'm genuinely curious, as I have problems with new Fiora no matter who I play. In my experience, the best counter to Fiora is either outnumber her 3-1 or hope she makes a mistake. Maybe you have a better solution.

She builds up a lot of AD, so getting Thornmail (along with being tanky) should help. Also a champ with CC (Jax) can negate burst of speed and dodge her lunge, which is her main way to deal damage.

New Fiora has a lot of sustain and you need quite a bit of armor to make Thornmail worth now. Unless you're playing Malphite Taric Rammus you're better off with Randuin's and Frozen Heart, but that's still not going to stop her unless she's way behind.

So her best counters are.

  1. Always outnumber her
  2. Hope she gets careless

The only champion that can realistically deal with her in a 1v1 scenario is Taric , but he's being reworked (most likely to have more counterplay).

her %max hp damage isn't really that much 3% max hp damage base, about 60 damage against squishy targets in the late game the sustain from vitals is quite weak when you consider how often you could realistically proc vitals consistently, it's like kiting with lucian in melee range, if lucians dash had 8 second cooldown+60%cd refund on hitting opponent

She is obnoxiously oppresive. hard to play against, she can overkill ANYONE, literally ANYONE, doesn't spend that much mana to poke and can poke through minions with no risk whatsoever. As I sayd, your only hope is to burst her down.... she is a ridiculous champ which was I could say in a more balanced state before the rework.

Masked Lunatic1 votes

Fun fact: her q auto locks on to invisible units (if she dashes towards the unit).

bobsenbob1 votes

she can overkill anyone? her damage is actually rather low compared to the majority of melee carries, yasuo, yi, trynd especially when considering that her only steroid is 50% as for only 2 auto attacks plus a guaranteed reduced crit at the end. Also in terms of poking through units, that really depends on how the minions waves are spread out. You have to actually hit a vital for you to trade effeciently through minions else take minion aggro+retaliation. Also consider that lunge prioritizes low hp minions over champions without vitals exposed. Also, I assume this is a smurf?

Sustain you say? Grevious Wounds seems like a good thing to use against her.

Gaplont1 votes

Well, you would guess that right? I played against a Fiora recently with red kayn, so my sustain/healing wasnt the badest and i bought the armor penetration item with Grevious Wounds. But guess what, it didnt matter, because she did 1600 true Damage just from her ult alone and a thronmail or any other armor item is usless against this. Plus the counter against true Damage would Health right ? But if you go more Health than armor or Damage, you will lack damage and Fioras crits will do mostly the full damage because she build armor pen. In Addition u have no counter to her healing if u dont go armor to block the normal dmg she does. All in all, you cant do shit against her.

poke from range...?

Cherysse1 votes

with her powers she can blow your vitals, even if you try not stop her.

magic pole1 votes

idk I've played her...she is strong and can snowball hard.

but she is also what i would consider and above average champion in terms of difficulty...that is, she's tricky to pick up and use effectively. She has to go melee range to do her thing and in that case is susceptible to getting blown up immediately...so she's better in smaller more isolated fights. OR as cleanup

i recommend playing her when she is free and you might better notice her windows of vulnerability. Her presence really demands more mechanically from both players in the lane. If you can sidestep her when she attacks your vital, she has no escape but to walk away. Dodge it, she gets no heal and no speed boost, and you can retaliate as she retreats...and if she stays...just fight in minions. also remember her ult gives her movement speed , so if you are below 50% HP you must be very very cautious about getting all-inned and being overextended

it sounds like you had a bad game where a fiora got very very fed. it happens, try to learn from it

the problem with fiora currently I feel is that she violates one of the fundamental rules of the game during lane phase: you play the lane on the terms of the champion that's ahead

in most matchups, the champion who gets a lead early dictates the rules of engagement for the time to come, but fiora's kit is so strong that even if you're ahead of her, you will die if you don't play by her rules of denying vitals and running away as fast as you can the moment she ults you

Honestly, i feel that the only real problem she has is how iften the vitals spawn facing her, rather than away. I understand that her passive isnt really broken, but the fact that she basically doesbt have tk work to get the proc gives her an unecessary edge in lane against most, if not all enemy lanera

What do you expect form someone Titled "The Grand Duelist" She is made to be the Primer Duelist, basically at all stages of the game. Where the Laning phase is almost entirely 1v1. Your best bet and countering Fiora is Jungler intervention, and make sure she gets/stays behind.

But your best bet is to simply not play to her style. Win teamfights, an she can't do anything while you start shoving down their midlane. But apparently that's too much pressure for people, and if your can't win team fights or can't pressure objectives, then Fiora will just split push you to death.

The more complaints I hear about Fiora, (and about Jax) the more I'm convinced that people don't like Duelists. And that anyone Who can 1v1 is cancer.

She can kill 1 vs 2, vs 3, vs 4... vs 5 if she is too ahead... her kit is toxic...

I will honestly call BS on that. Unless "Too ahead" means 3+ levels over the enemy leader and 2000+ gold.

Unless your definition of 1v5 is 5 people going in one by one, 5 damage sources against one. (probably with CC included) isn't going anywhere. Especially since Fiora doesn't build Tank items.

Cherysse1 votes

This one DID. She could 1 vs 5 and recover full health from ult...

she has a lot of poke? you mean the 90 base damage, delayed, telegraphed skill shot that scales ap on an ad champion? oh and its on a 20 second cooldown, man, that sounds oppressive.
