Small Tryndamere Tweak to make his ult feel less "get out of jail free".
TL;DR; skip to bottom.
Frequently playing ranked, I see a lot of people opting into the Tryndamere climb, as I once participated in myself.
Let's start off with some disclaimers : I do not claim Tryndamere is OP and needs a rework because he's broken beyond repair.
Tryndamere does very well in top lane. He struggles against only a selection of champions, and excels against anyone that doesn't wipe him down.
After mid game, let's say, 20 minutes, if the game isn't in anyone's extreme favor, Tryndamere now becomes a force to be reckoned with. A few champions that countered him early now are useless in the face of his rage. Tryndamere now pulls at least 2 people from the map to stop him. Tryndamere spins through a line of minions, swings his sword two times, killing a few, granting him almost full rage and he now works down the turret. Two opponents jump out of the fog, locking down Tryndamere! But Tryndamere ignores them. The turret is the only thing in his sights. The turret is nearly crumbled, but so is Tryndamere's health bar. He pops his undying rage, finishes the turret, and then spins into jungle. However, this was forseen by his opponents and they toss an ignite onto him.
Tryndamere's rage is sated and heals him for 100. He presses Q and heals another 150, scoffing at ignite.
How anti-climatic.
So basically the issue is that, if ignite isn't casted within the last second of his ultimate, it has very little chance of killing him. Tryndameres worth their salt knows this, so they spin 1-2 seconds prior so that any DoT has no way of killing them. And of course they ward the jungle so they know where to spin so they don't get surprised by anyone. So their chances of dying are close to 0.
So what is the solution?
The move is called "Undying Rage." For 5 seconds you're extremely pissed and hate the world, then after those 5 seconds you're snapped back into being calm and collected. That's silly. Unless he's bi-polar, I don't think he's capable of relieving all his rage like that. There should be a transition.
Active: Tryndamere instantly receives FURY and becomes immune to death for 5 seconds during which his health cannot fall below 1. After 2.5 seconds, Tryndamere rapidly loses FURY unless he has attacked a champion in the past second.
Thematically it also makes sense. A warrior's soul is to fight. I doubt his rage would hold up while he's running away, as that's something you do when you're uncertain or cautious, which does not fit the theme of "filled with so much rage he becomes undying."
