servers moving to chicago tomorrow
I'm actually pretty scared for this move since I don't know how much will my ping spike up since I live in California. What are your thoughts on the server move?

I live in Chicago so im pretty happy.
Although i was reasonably happy with 60 ping anyways.
I have AT&T in Texas. Same boat as you, buddy. The ISP has not been partnered yet and the IP ping tests show horrendous ping.
Right now, a ping test to Portland shows 58ms for me, but in-game it's 100 on average.
If a ping test of Chicago shows 124ms, then how bad will the in-game ping be?
I used to play by sharing my phone internet for 90-110 or so ping sith Tmobile. Ping tests put me at 150-300 now doing that. Guess I'll just keep driving to my cousin's house to play.
I'm on the East coast, so I'm absolutely thrilled, I get a pretty solid drop in my ping according to ping tests it's between a 20 and 40ms.
oh man idk how to do that so ill just wait and see but that would be nuts.
been 90-100 stable for the past 2 years. about 80-90 in the past month or so (however with bigger lag spikes :/
that would be a dream but id be thrilled with anything less than 80 given what I'm used to :)
Yeah, I've had horrific ping spikes all day, I'd go from like 84 to 400 and freeze up completely, literally nothing else is lagging on my comp, no other games have, nothing from the internet such as streams youtube videos etc. So yeah the switch to the chicago server can't come soon enough.
I'd really just be happy with stable ping even if it didn't drop at all.
I have 50~80 ping usually, with frequent ping spike over 1000. If the game actually stabilizes with somewhat higher ping (I'd even accept like 150 ping; 200 is barely playable), I'd be okay with it.
It shouldn't be bad for Cali. If you read their post, you'll see they just want it to even out. It's not going to be anywhere close to as bad as east coast is right now.
It's fine if the ping gets bad for me in California, I can switch to one of League of Legend's many competitors. I don't like change, but if they insist....
