Why URF is a problem and how it should return.
Please hear me out before you ragequit downvote because I dare suggest URF has a problem.
The problem with URF is that there are some champions who are so ludicrously broken that it ruins the enjoyment of the mode.
"But cap everyone is bro-"
That's not what I'm getting at. Last year's URF absolutely murdered me because after 3-4 games, people figured out what the best comps and champs were. From there, that's ALL that was picked. 30 bans wouldn't be enough to deal with it, so you can imagine what six would do. So after those games, I saw the same 4-5 champs picked every game. AD Malz splitpushing forever. Vladimir pooling every two seconds so he was neigh unkillable. Iceborn Ezreal making me contemplate suicide. You get the picture.
And hey, if I still remember this, you know for a fact others do as well. URF coming back would do little more than bring out these same picks and people would complain "WEH URF NO FUN EVERYONE PICKS THE SAME THINGS". That is why I want to make one major thing clear:
#IF URF IS EVER COMING BACK, IT NEEDS TO BE ETHER ALL RANDOM OR NEMESIS DRAFT.
All random would make it so getting an obscene monster of a champion is a rare treat, not the norm. And hey, maybe it'd actually show you that "ugh I got Brand in URF" is actually a hilariously good time. It'd promote actual entertainment, not "weh weh weh pick the best so we can win"
Nemesis draft would just be a good time to see what people think is the weakest of URF and that even "bad" picks are insane in URF. (Singed basically has his poison on all the time so you can't kill that crackhead).
No matter what, Riot shouldn't return it as a draft or blind pick. That will kill the mode worse than anything else.
