Caitlyn STILL needs buffs...

Leaving the MF topic alone since she's getting nerfed on her passive, and hopefully that'll make her a bit more bearable. Still, Caitlyn needs buffs. Serious buffs. She lost early game power because you're supposed to play into her head shots, but those are all telegraphed and easily avoided if you're playing smart (only step on traps when she's way out of range/stay out of situations where she can AA -> Q -> Net -> AA you by keeping trades short until you hit some power spikes). Caitlyn also still sucks late game in comparison to most adcs. I can't even call her a lane bully anymore. Can this champ get some buffs?

Most lower elo players cant abuse champions with range such as cait since they cannot efficiently poke. Go watch a challenger cait vs trist game and watch a gold cait vs trist. IN higher elo the best trist vs best cait player would be determined on how shit on tristana got in lane. A gold cait wont be able to poke every single chance she gets wont be able to position properly enough to do it ect. Thats probably why she feels super weak to you. Sure she is sort of weak compared to top tier meta picks but you arent top tier so that shouldnt concern you.

As much as this is..."cute", the fact of the matter is that in ALL ELOS, Cait can't even win 48% of the time. She's either 47% or lower, and it decreases the higher up you go. Caitlyn, as of now, is a bad champ. We aren't just talking about laning. We're talking about the scope of the entire match. The only time Cait is strong is when she's fed, but anyone's strong when they're fed.

Also, I'm not low elo. Plat IV is the top 7% of the server. Sure, that doesn't make me LCS material, but it means I know enough about the game to make an informed opinion on a weak champ. Doesn't take the top .01% of the community to identify who's the weakest adc in the game atm, and it's...Kog'Maw, but disregarding him and perhaps Urgot, it's Caitlyn.

If you knew how bad na was you wouldnt even be talking right now xD You are like the kid saying you more about baseball then everyone else since you went to college and played baseball (and allllloooot of people do) And you think its close to the pro level (which its not otherwise the top 1% of college wouldnt be taken to pro)

but you basically know the basics of the game if that. I could tell you cait is bad and kogmaw is bad but the difference is I can tell you why she is bad while you just say the basics "well not enough damage" "needs ratios" yet you never even consider how to position ect.

For simple terms Plat 4 if we are using a grading scale is a C if we use your logic and Idk about you but my parents wouldnt be happy if I thought getting a c or c+ is good and knowing enough. Sure its enough to pass the test at the same dumb length of everyone else but you arent considered smart.

For a real scale though challenger is an A and low plat is like a D But thats if you use logic the other way I just used to appeal to the tiny brain.

And you're the condenscending squirt that's even lower elo than I am in the same server, telling me that I don't know anything about what I'm talking about. Doesn't change the fact that Cait sports decent play rates with bottom-of-the-list win rates.

Positioning on Caitlyn is, by design, easy as hell. She has a dash escape that has a slow built-in + she has the longest starting AA range in the game. Caitlyn, as a champ, is too simple for overly complex analysis when all she does is toss down traps and right click people with the occasional Q or R.

The short and simple answer is that, as a lane bully, her AAs only tickle unless she gets a headshot, the enemy is an idiot and takes 5 of them for free, or she gets a solid build lead. Getting the full damage of her Q is also very difficult to accomplish since it sharply decreases after hitting its first target, and finishing people off with her ult is just as difficult since others can just intercept the bullet. Her traps, although a cool idea on paper, relies on the error of the enemy rather than the success of her herself, yet it seems that her general laning power was slighted to put more power in zoning people with those traps and threatening them with her head shots. Thus, other adcs can be more direct and just run you over with high damage while Caitlyn has to wait for her enemies to step on glowing red marks on the floor...which I doubt anyone will do willingly. Until they do, she's the least threatening "lane bully" in the game, lacking in wave clear, burst, and sustained damage.

Im a mid diamond adc main and i can tell you, caitlyn is trash atm, even more so in high elo.

There is just no reason to pick her because her numbers on her spells/base stats are simply too low, her early game sucks now.

Honestly her early game is so freaking annoying with how her Headshot works now that they can't let her have a strong late game because she's so obnoxious. Her rework as a utter failure.

She's annoying, but if you wait for some power spikes or if you got a good support with you, you can pick up the lead over her and watch her struggle in vain to get it back. If I play adc into Cait, I just chill out early and wait a bit, then do all the haam shit a bit later. If I support into Cait, I take advantage of her low attack speed and bother her when she's in the middle of cs'ing. As long as you don't get yourself hit by her head shots, it's a pretty simple lane to win.
