As much as I hate trynda...
I should not be able to reach level 9 before he can get to level 6 unless he is a complete idiot.
This one was not the best but not a complete idiot.
Riot the snowball changes are too much.

That makes no sense. You're supposed to be punished for making poor play. That Tryndamere was Silver 4. You are Platinum, on your main. Obviously you're going to make better plays and win the lane.
But it does not feel right being able to get that much of a lead.
I am use to have to try and push an advantage, deny them CS roam smart.
Sure I did all of that but it was way to effective at making their trynda completely useless and behind to the point that he was lucky to get a few kills.
I think the issue I am having with it is that before 5.22 if I was in a situation like the trynda was in I knew that if I played well there was a good chance of being able to turn the game around, aka a reason to keep playing. With changes since 5.22 it seems generally hopeless unless the other teem massively screws up.
That is my issue with the snowballing. It basically kills the reasoning to keep fighting.
Top lane has always had a bit of a snowballing issue but it is worse now then I ever recall it being, even before TP became mandatory for much of season 5.
The reason you're used to having to try is that you're used to playing against players that are actually at your skill level. You're going to stomp Silvers, that's just what being better means.
Actailly stomping silvers was not this over the top. It is more like a lack of being able to have damage control against a enemy who got a kill or two that is my problem.
And people tend to underestamage the ability of silvers to trade well. It tends to be more about objective control and getting small advantages that makes you climb. Deny exp here and there, know when to TP down to bot and push how to make enemy CS act in a certain way so that they will push towards you.
there is a lot to be learned beyond just laning and team fights.
If you feed two kills, why should you be able to still 1v1 your enemy laner? He's 500 gold ahead of you plus CS. That's the point where you should need a gank to have pressure in the lane.
not 1v1 but be able to play safe enough to not get totally screwed over.
All he has to do is let you take the turret. The minions will start shoving towards him so he can catch up.
Actually I was freezing the lane a fair amount which in turn set him even farther behind If I didn't have a few levels on him it wouldn't have been so hars but being level 8 when he is level 5 made him a complete sitting duck. If he tried to get soem exp he died. If he stayed away he stayed level 5.
It is all of these small things added up together that are making snowballing more overbearing then past seasons.
Then he could've left lane, taken jg farm, and teleported back when you finally shoved. You say that infringes on his other teammates, really his teammates should be helping him when he's against a significantly better opponent.

500 gold is a very small lead. Its a null magic mantle and a pot, a cloth armor and 4 pots. A tome and a pot.
It is not a huge lead at all. You should not automatically win lane off of one kill. You shouldn't be 'winning' until after 2 or 3. Advantage yes. Automatically winning, no.
Every post from you lowers my faith in your judgement.

It's true, I nearly first-blooded a Diamond V Riven the other day (and by "nearly", I mean I did kill her, but our punk Teemo mid died to Ekko a little earlier). Plats and Diamonds ain't SHIT in lane. / shameless self plug
That said, I don't think I've seen a difference that great in levels between laning opponents since preseason started. Level nine before he hits six is insane.

I utterly cum-dumpstered this Rumble in lane as Illaoi, and at no point was I five levels ahead of him. How did you get such a ridiculous lead?
I'm pretty sure that was possible way before preseason 6. For example, giving a kill to riven... Yeah, might as well just afk in base.

It was never that bad unless you just didn't know how to lane vs the champ. You can have complete matchup knowledge now and you still get absolutely dumpstered after one mistake with almost no hope of recovery.
I for some reason thought the difference between 5 and 9 was five, so disregard my post. I've seen a difference of four levels.
simple mistake but I did have that kind of advantage in this game and I have been seeing it a lot more since 5.22 hit.
