So ... who thought adding this new Rift Herald would be a good idea?

Nevermind the fact that towers are made out of tissue and this game snowballs faster than light, who thought this would be good?

HoTS is an ass game. So lets try and copy it.

This is Riot games atm, it'll be interesting to look back in 10 years and see where it all went wrong.

That's what I was thinking about when I saw the update.

So many players complain that the game has such a high chance of starting an unstoppable snowball, so what does Riot do? Adds something that will increase the chances of in an absurd way. You don't even need to call a teammate to take him on.

Rift herald is really powerful, and even if it was to be nerfed, that wouldn't fix the fact that it speeds up the game and makes comebacks scarce. I'm tired of seeing the laning phase being the only deciding factor in a game.

I do find it interesting that this change does come on the heels of first tower bonus, which is universally hated here. They should start to listen and show towers some love and realize the problem people have is that the winner is called too early.

This game is casual friendly. That's why it is one of the most popular MOBAs in the world. Casual does not mean brainless either. I had to play HotS week to get an OW skin. They are desperately trying to prop up that bland game. I almost fell asleep playing it. The best part of HotS is that it ends quickly compared to other MOBAs, so I genuinely hope they aren't aiming for that.

Nobody has fun in a game that snowballs out of control. The team that begins to lose even a little bit gets crushed and demotivated. If you're winning, there is nobody that can challenge you unless you throw. Few of my games recently have been evenly matched, and I don't think it has anything to do with matchmaking.

Part of a Riot team that tries to make the game casual friendly. (RNG Dragon spawns, RNG plants)

It is good. People need to actually pay attention to an objective instead of just autopiloting the first 10 minutes.

Also it encourages aggressive play even in the opening minutes which I greatly appreciate.
