So Riot punishes people for being frustrated, but not the trolls?

So my friend recently got chat restricted because he tells people to follow up on ganks rather than stand there and watch him die? He never uses vulgarity, he never name calls, yet somehow he is the one who gets punished and not the trolls standing there watching people die and refusing to communicate with the team?

Riot, you do realize how stupid you are for punishing people who actually want to make the game better, but not punishing the trolls who stand there/feed/refuse to communicate?

Ironically, Riot says they punish people who "ruin the game experience for everyone," yet these trolls who stand there/feed/refuse to ping or chat end up ruining everyone's game, over and over again, and Riot punishes the people that get frustrated with these trolls? Seems legit.

Riot, you're a disgusting company, utterly pitiful and I hope everyone who gets banned disputes charges with their bank, because you don't deserve a single penny for such hypocritical sewage.

Fallacious argument. Because you don't know them and don't know if they are being punished for anything, you assume they aren't. The system doesn't tell anyone but the person receiving punishments that they are being punished. All you're really doing is whining. If we go back and see the chat logs, we'll probably understand why he was chat restricted. Every single person save for one who has come on the boards and bitched about it have been smote by Lyte showing them exactly why they were wrong.

Key to a good gank: don't count on a follow-up. If you do, and haven't previously coordinated the gank, don't risk it.

It's that simple.

I got a 25 game chat restriction which is the most annoying thing ever.

All i do is tell people to play safe.

If you die 5 times in 6 minutes do you honestly diserve any mercy?? I still don't talk nasty to anyone unless they do first!

I am polite and give people advice like i take i take advice from others, but some people think they know everything.

When someone is 0/5 and they try to defent turret infront of it, get hooked for the 25th time and die what am i supposed to say????

I was playing a game earlier and our kog maw was like 1/6 he kept diving so i go like ' kog man honestly stop making silly plays like this, you are costing us the game, i really don't want to report you but if you keep doing it i will' he never replied, he started playing better and we ended up winning lol. Some people just like to listen and some don't.

Anyways, this is a world where asholes get love anyways.

The big thing is people like to dish it out, but when they get it back they can't handle it and then they report. Most of the time the real sissies like this are in duo, trio, or quadra que groups and then get their buddies to pass them some insults to use or to "hype them up" by laughing at everything they say. They then report you, 4 reports to 1 and they get off scott-free while you get muted/banned.

This started with Riot allowing a Tribunal system of the VERY TROLLS who are causing harm in game to lay the ban hammer down on EVERYONE no matter what the facts of the case were. They allowed children to "play God" with other peoples accounts and in doing so set a horrible precedent that is still problematic to this day in this game. They should remove bans altogether unless they are going to do it themselves.

Bring the chat logs, or gtfo.

Considering the fact that Riot has been rather public about the fact that they are using a computer program to decide on chat bans, I have to wonder. They have said a number of reports exceeding the threshold will induce their servers to run a check on the chats involving the person getting reported. They have then set levels of acceptable and unacceptable talk in chat.

So you say that your friend has a chat restriction, that means that what he has been saying was found to exceed the levels allowed by Riot as set in the computer program performing the audit. Obviously this means he has been abusive to others or has used excessive profanity.

And this fits the pattern that has developed here, in the original forums and on Reddit where someone would be chat restricted/banned and come to the forums to claim "it wasn't me, it was the one armed man." Every one of those was someone who swore that they were never toxic and couldn't understand why. Eventually they'd demand that the chat logs that resulted in their ban be shown. The standard response usually proved that the person saying they were pure as driven snow was actually quite toxic, and the responses used to be regular enough that they became known as Lyte Smites as the Riot employee Lyte often appeared to deliver the message that this person was not what they claimed to be.

I'm not going to say your friend has been bad, but obviously he hasn't just been saying. "Guys, why didn't you follow up?" and letting the subject drop.

Maybe, just maybe, if you insult Riot enough, they'll listen to you. Insults always make people listen to what you have to say and take you seriously.

There's no oversight. The process is based on report amounts, probably per unit time. If you don't believe me, ask your teams to report you after every game despite never saying a word.

I think its pretty common knowledge that Riot's behavior team is completely useless.

I've been playing this game forever, and you definitely see less intentional feeders, but the players are just as big of jack asses as ever.

THE DIFFERENCE IS:

You don't see as much friendly banter as before. People used to have long drawn out conversations over chat. You have like 10% less ragers, and 50% less cool people to talk to. Lyte and Co. have severely hurt the game.

I already know this so does everyone else. Its best just to shut up and play the damn game sadly

you lost the sincerity of your argument after the first paragraph and why cant your friend make a post on his own behalf if its such a problem?

Junkο3/23/2015, 2:34:14 PM1 votes

The system is automated, what did you expect really?

Sarutobi3/23/2015, 6:53:38 AM1 votes

It's easier to chat ban someone than to banned them. You wanna make sure when banning someone that it's happening frequently and not just one game. How exactly do you know it was that one game that made the chat ban? For all you know it's from past games that are finally catching up to your friend?

Rito pls..

Jevokan3/23/2015, 9:23:58 PM1 votes

Whatever they are doing to stop it is obviously not working well enough and needs to be improved. You wouldn't get so many afks, trolls, and feeders in every game if they were actually penalized adequately for it.
