Somebody please tell me!
Well, I am going down with this; does Riot think about the religious fanbase a champion has before they rework it? (and I hope a Rioter can answer me fully)
Yes, I am talking about Quinn, but this is not another Quinn Rage thread. I am going to be very specific.
a) Did they fully think about some of us? who played her almost each day and each time we played league?
b) Which was the focus of her rework? Currently she does not work properly as an ADC, she looses too much farm when she is out roaming, it hurts her game, and even when she plays mid she does not get full advantage. So at the end you end up using her ult as a taxi cab.
c) Why didn't riot try to consolidate her identity instead of changing it? I mean, why didn't you embrace her going into melee to give it all?
d) I wonder if you ever tried to make her a full top-jungler champion instead of a "Traditional" ADC, because a champion that is meant to roam on the whole map should be a jungler or a top, we already have too many ADC options (20).
e) what are you going to do about her now? I have seen it in all the post, her current state hurts her game and hurts us, who have played with her for a long time.
f) Did you actually ask those players (high ELO players) who play Quinn oftenly what she actually needed?
How I feel: I used to actually roam with her, because her ult helped her,, but also her ult allowed her to have a reason to roam, she could go into a melee burst to justify her gank. I could use her ultimate to run as well, but I almost never had to use it to run, only If I was heavily outnumbered. So? now I play her and I feel rage, her ult feels like a taxi cab, not like it did before; like a true tag team. She has lost too much potential and damage, because if you check her numbers now she depends more on items and critical than she ever did, her passive is nerfed and her Q applying her passive does not make too much sense. She is now unable to duel, she will loose most trades if the enemies are not weak already and she can't assassinate anyone like she did before. Also as her ult is just now a full roam ability it means that she is now even more dependent on snowballing than she ever did.
People who didn't play her as proper before the rework will say that she is broken, she isn't, she is actually a lot weaker, they are complaining because they are finally seeing her in the game doing something, mainly because she will be popular for 2 months before she is thrown into the thrash can again (an because people who used to play her will forget about her too).
SEE IT AS AN OPPORTUNITY: Yeah, she is popular once again now, but as the time goes on she will loose popularity, isn't time to revert the changes and embrace what made her unique once again? All she needed was some refinement, her numbers where ok, she was unpopular because she had to go into a melee and she didn't have the scapes a melee champ did, because her passive could sometimes go into derp mode and never mark the target and because her E sometimes could just take you too far away if the enemy used any flash or dash ability. Many of those things are fixed, now, the only problem is her Q and her ult (and her passive which is just heavily nerfed, even if you try to cover it).
I am proposing some hot fixes to embrace what she did before:
Valor is back! (R) Reverted to the S5 state R new mechanics: If Quinn activates Tag Team (R) when the Q projectile is flying or has recently landed upon a target on the last second, instead of appearing upon Quinn's location Valor will appear upon the Q projectile location (which is Valor anyways). New R Passive -leap and fly-: you are now able to use your E upon the ground, allowing Quinn and Valor to jump upon a location. If Quinn kills an enemy with Skystrike the cooldown of the E is reseted.
Q new mechanic: Valor can Fly: Valor is now able to use the Q as a dash (like Vi's Q), if he runs into an enemy he will attack them with a blinding assault.
These changes allow Quinn to actually fly and get to the point, also this allows her to scape, by using heavy amounts of mana. We could have Valor back and this could actually grant him a lot of importance, as he could be used as a way to maneuver arround in thze team fight allowing Quinn to catch important targets.
With these hot changes we could see Quinn being used in the LCS (this is something I can actually promise). I know you Rioters can't say that this is a good cor bad, but at least I hope to get your comments on my idea and see what you think.
