@AkaliMains Alkali is in a good spot right now

To all you Alkali mains out there saying 'IM DONE WITH RIOT AND DONE WITH THIS GAME' or some crap like that... the rework is a buff. Riot wanted to lengthen the window of counterplay so people aren't getting straight up deleted before they can do anything. And they did that.

STOP complaining because they took damage off the cult and lengthened the cooldown. Now there is more of a window for players to actually deal with and escape from Alkali since she can no longer just triple let them to death.

STOP saying you're quitting the game because your champ got changed. There are now literally 133 other champs to chose from. I'm sure you can find a substitute that you love just as much.

STOP saying they dumpster Akali by taking out so much of her spell vamp. They removed spell vamp a long time ago with the mage update. It is an outdated mechanic, and it got taken away like it should have 15 patches ago.

STOP saying the new Shroud is dumb. You can jump over walls. You can't be revealed by wards. You can dodge skillshots. You can play mind games. You don't have a B.S. triple gap-closer and then in-combat evasion anymore.

STOP making QQ threads about the new Alkali, she is a lot more healthy and a lot more fun to play. You fell in love with the old Akali, but those days are over now and its for the better.

Akali was already the slowest killing assassin. Making her even more so has broken her role as an assassin.

Her new kit is straight up counter intuitive.

Since she (even more now than ever) has to rely on spaced out spikes to deal her damage the increased cd on her ult works completely contrary to this. Akali, of all people, can't stick to her opponent now.

Shroud change was needed in relation to pinks, but the adding of the blink and its ability to go over walls is nothing more than a gimmick. This new restrictive design isn't worth the removal of all the other ways shroud could have been utilized in the past and the gimping of her damage.

You are right to criticize those who stop playing or leave the game. But kindly stfu when talking about those who are genuinely voicing their concerns to try and get Akali to be optimal and good for the game. You are not an authority figure nor do you have the understanding we have as to what is good for her or fun about her.

The day I see a thread genuinely highlighting her problems and giving insightful solutions and ideas, instead of sounding like a seven year old that got the wrong kind of ice cream, will be the day that I delete this thread. I have yet to see one professional thread from a concerned Alkali main on these boards.

No if anything I have the better understanding because my view is unbiased. If you are an Akali main you have a clear bias and wouldn't mind her being buffed repeatedly. Without a bias you can take a look at what in the game is actually healthy. As for fun, no I can't say, but I can say the old alkali was not fun for other people since she had practically no outplay or way to escape like I already said.

I'm sorry that you don't feel you've seen a thread that strikes you as genuinely highlighting her problems. I don't know how it is you're choosing to define what a professional thread is, so that's frankly a rather useless standard you've now insisted exist.

As to bias, of course we're biased. And because we're biased, we want the opposite of what you've described. If Akali were buffed repeatedly that would be the worst thing for us. She would become fotm, and Riot would proceed to nerf her back down to managable levels. Because we're mains, we want to see her balanced and healthy. She's just undergone a rework, not intended as a nerf, that had the effect of a nerf. So clearly riot missed the mark. Hence the increased activity by the akali main community on these boards. I'm so sorry that the influx of posts has rustled your jimmies so. Please feel free to stop viewing the boards till you can handle seeing threads you may disagree with.

I'm not an Akali player, but a LeBlanc player - but she suffers from a lot of the same design problems in their respective reworks.

Stretching out the burst window makes both champions irrelevant as the game continues, and makes them far less effective than the champions they are designed to keep in check.

Again, not an Akali player, but in a teamfight, it was very easy to just burst down Akali if she tried to jump on the ADC at a bad moment. Akali had to really think about when to go in, and had a high risk high reward style gameplay. She could only dash into a fight, and then had no escapes, especially if the enemy carried a pink. There wasn't a reason to neuter her gameplay and take away her biggest strength. There was a multitude of ways to keep her in check as it was.

The reason mains are pissed is that entire gameplay is gone now - if it's past 35-40 minutes, there isn't anything you can do now. You can't fight anyone because you're single target, and if you try, they'll lifesteal tank you while you are waiting on your 2s ult proc, or Lux will just EQR and instantly delete you before you even do 1/4 of her HP.

And if you don't snowball and dominate your lane, it's as though you're just better off AFK'ing and letting your team get all the xp and gold in your stead since God knows you won't be doing much of anything for the rest of the game.

What is the point of playing assassins anymore, when other characters assassinate better?

her latest buff for 6.23 still puts her at lower stats than she was at on 6.19 on literally ALL of her abilities

but her rework was a "buff"
