Maokai's new ultimate is five separate projectiles, so Wind Wall won't block all of them.

Yup yup, it's exactly this. Multiple projectiles, each one stops independently as it acquires a champ to snare or hits a projectile destroyer like Windwall or Unbreakable.

Why would it matter? After these changes go through you will never see Maokai played again. Riot Olafed that poor tree.

Why? He still has his w which is super good agains those hypermobile fuckers.

Yeah... except they made it so slow that they can outrun it. They will be in fountain before they are rooted.

You are invulnerable the ENTIRE time you are moving towards them. It's actually a pretty decent tradeoff.

But you cannot do anything anyway. The invul frames might be enough to dodge an ability but good players already did this. Low elo players will just have an easier time doing it now. The fact that you can get displaced much more and that the root is much more delayed means way more than the invul frames since you are anyway a tank.

One thing to consider now is that Maokai just lost a massive amount of tank with the removal of his damage reduction ultimate.

You are still a tank. You not taking damage is fine and all, but you would rather cc your opponents faster, block a skillshot for your adc, auto for your passive. You are only really gonna dodge one key spell with your w and it being slower just means that you might dodge some other random spells which anyway does not do that much damage.

His new W is so slow you can walk back to the pool before he gets to you. Plus they took away his damage mitigation(his ult) so he really isn't going to be tanky enough to you know, tank.

just saw his w in the midseason post and it is indeed horrendously slow. no more luring them into tower range, snaring them and knocking them back into it ;(. For the rest they will prob up his numbers so he will still be a tank but he wont be able to shield his allies anymore.

u think so?

i don't know about you but

id stay far away from unwarded bushes if that fucker is in one of them with a herd of sapplings he will oneshot you lol

if you build Rod you can get 100 ap with 100 ap your sapplings deal 115+ 10%hp damage doubled in brush

so ill only need 5 to oneshot kill you because they will deal 1150 + 100% hp damage

For squishies not on full hp this mean i might only need like 3

You bet your ass ill be playing that with 45% cdr haha

Think of the poor supports lol best not to ward lol there might just be a pile of sapplings in that bush and then you are dead ^^

The extra damage is as a dot. Do it will likely not stack.

it shouldn't or does he have a new ult

edit

more importantly who cares, they have a yasuo and you have a tank that can stop yasuo from moving around so much. gg
