Please make games longer again.

Stop this dream of having 20-35 min games. Just Stop. This season you tried many iterations: no earlygame, no midgame, no lategame, really short everything,.. all of them sucked. League isnt a fast paced hot action shooter. Its a stratigic game with 3 distinct 10-15 minute phases making it a 30-45 min game. Trying to change this, is trying to change the core of the game itself. It just doesnt work because its not what league is. If you want shorter games take ARAM, rotationmode games or create a new mode/game but please stop trying to make league into something it isnt. This 20 min shit isnt what we came here for, isnt why we loved the game. A lot of my duoqparters/friends have quit this season saying you have made your decision and 45 min league wont be comming back and to be honest im starting to lose hope too and keep finding less and less reasons to come back...

It's pretty ironic honestly lol.. Considering years ago people made the same posts of the OPPOSITE thing that got 100 of upvotes.

"MAKE GAMES SHORTER.. 45 minutes for a game is really pushing most of our time schedules." -Riot : We are currently working on that.

As Riot experimented the ADC 2k17 meme came.. Instead of small simple buffs they made the most nastiest ADC's deal crazy amounts of damage which made towers useless. (People wanted ADC's buffed and now regret the fuck out of it.) It's the items as well though.

Riot reduced towers and made them weaker.

Riot made Rift Herald and people of the community said "It's a good add Riot keep it! It gives top lane something to look forward too." Making the game EVEN more snowbally. (Tryn can solo it easy by the way, thanks to his spin.) Majority of the communities fault..

Now people are spam raging Riot over their own stupid mistakes & complaints that has gotten 100 of upvotes in the past, which gave Riot the idea it was a good add anyways.

Ardent Censor though.. The community has complained FOREVER about that bullshit, that is completely Riots fault. :)

I constantly run into 40+ min games. The problem is some people quit after a quick stomp. 19/1 team score and people quit at 15. Recently played a 63 minute game and was begging someone to end our misery.

It's not the length of the game, it's that the game is decided in the first 15 minutes. I enjoyed Season 5 because there was an opportunity to truly swing a game around. Now one of two things happen in terms of a game.

  1. My team or the enemy's gets shit stomped and the game ends in 25 minutes, with nothing we could have done to come back.
  2. My team or the enemy's gets shit stomped, and the game continues to drag out forever because the ahead team is dicking around because Silver, and the game still ends in favor of the team that was ahead in the beginning, only both teams are even more frustrated because the winning team just want to secure victory, and the losing team already has a foregone conclusion, and their misery is just prolonged.

I think in the last 200 games I've played, I think a team has thrown an entire game maybe ten times total. It's Silver, so yeah, you have dumb objective control and split push nonsense, but the team that is ahead early, stays ahead to the end, whether it's 20 minutes or 40-60.

"If you want shorter games take ARAM."

The funny thing is, my ARAM games usually last longer than my Summoner's rift games. Probably, because the Nexus there isn't guarded by card towers.

I'd just like the ability to solo carry games without having to be leagues above your opponents, the way the game has changed defensive items have so much more gold efficiency and value that being behind isn't a big deal because you can just spend your gold to counter the one person carrying and they become irrelevant unless they're playing their heart out.

It's really lame as someone who played since season 2 that because of all the changes to item builds and laning mechanics and gold and such it's become A LOT harder to pop off as a solo player and hard carrying unless your opponent is just straight up inting or you're like 2 tiers in rank above them.

Because the majority of people want shorter games. The casual playerbase is gradually overtaking the competitive and preestablished environments.

It's not just League, it's almost everything.

Death of MTG to Hearthstone, Death of WoW, and so on.

I prefer shorter games, having afk farm for like 15 mins was boring

PePsiLemoNN11/5/2017, 6:36:26 AM5 votes

Most games last more than 30 mins ( don't fucking tell me ''hurr durr it's over at 10 mins''). And no fucking thx , I can live without Anivia Viktor clearing waves for 50 minutes.

LoL wants to be Hero's of the Storm based on game length... Soon enough we will all share XP so no one can snowball, and Kills / Kill Streaks will just be called Hugs and Safe Spaces

So Dota 2 recently introduced a gamemode called Turbo Mode (it was in Dota 1 but it was only now introduced to Dota 2) and its basically a gamemode where everyone has bonus gold and XP gain, as well as reduced respawn times. I honestly think Riot should consider including this into League as an alternative normals game mode, and return normal League to elongated 50 mins games for ranked and regular normals.

I personally have no problem with short games, but the reason why they are short is what irritates the living hell out of me. This snowball crap needs to get put back in line.

Wráthful11/6/2017, 7:19:55 AM3 votes

i personally want longer games since 40% of the games must be ff'd at 15 ... due to failed gank or 2v2 going bad.

GGLineaR11/5/2017, 6:20:36 AM3 votes

I don't mind a 30 to 35 minute game.

Then again, I only play champs who win from early to mid game, so I guess I may be biased.

Games that run past 45 minutes just stop being fun for a lot of people nowadays.

Just stop games from ending in one sided stomps, and I think it'll be alright either way.

Buff towers (wind up faster, deal heavy damage like Treeline's Nexus towers after 2 shots,) tone down some of the cc, much of the burst damage (mage, bruisers, tanks, marksmen, everyone) and get rid of the fucking Rift Herald and you've got yourself a decent game again.

This game is a snowball game, you simply want the snowball to keep rolling for longer, still does not change the direction of the snowball. If items were cheaper and towers were stronger I think game be more fun. I know as a support the game is much more interesting when you have multiple items to work with, vs game ending with 1 item and a sight stone.
