Without that pink trinket, you're just pigeonholing supports into going 5 items + pink wards, and letting stealth Champions run rampant. What's so wrong with a trinket that lets you plant pink wards?

the radius is not that big (
can jump in, 
can cut throat it , 
doesn't need to get close to it,

4/6 of those champs can 100 - 0 a squishy before they are seen and the only one who cant is Evelyn because she would be seen before she got close and Akali since she needs to get there then shroud and by then she could be dead. Any others unless u know where they are before they go in U just lost your adc/apc

could Only stop 1 champ out the the group which is rengar any other champ can just back off and wait for your trinket to drop which has a "120 SECOND" Cool down they can just engage after that no problem

I agree you are forcing someone on a team Probably the support to not get there 6th item because the enemy has a invis that can potentially 100 - 0 your carrys which makes you not get the 6th item the could be something needed.
i would Normaly Get pink trinket when a invis champ was out of control
