They have done winter and harrowing maps. It would be nice to have different seasons, possibly corresponding to the current dragon due to spawn, or maybe just centralized around dragon pit. Or have the seasons switch every 10-15 minutes, to give a 'phase' feeling to the different stages of the game.
And night mode summoner's rift would be really nice. Same visibility, just darker visuals and cricket/bat ambient sounds.

if there were map skins, (please rito god damn just make them already i'd pay 20-30 bucks willingly to have nighttime rift or snowdown or even the bloodmoon map), this would be doable.
They could be saving day/night cricle for as an out for a game mechnic in the future, so I doubt we will ever see that as a map skin.
Gonna be honest, probably won't happen. They revealed that the SR map is hand painted when someone asked why top lane has three bushes instead of two like botlane. That's why they generally don't make big changes to the map. Its a cool idea though
