I think if towers are just buffed at no condition it would make the game more boring

I'm not saying they don't need some kind of buff they do feel like paper and are just a princess in distress. But what i'm saying is that think about it, if towers are buffed to be more potent either defensively or offensively then people will just tower hug and stall on towers making the game a very "wait for them to make a mistake " type of game. So the only way to win a proper siege would be the baron buff, and so the game would turn into a baron game to siege properly. Or else people can just wait at their base tower and farm up.

If towers are buffed, which they do need some sort of help, they also need to have a drawback, something to weaken them as-well.

Back in the old days, not many things could tower dive and get out alive, especially at early levels. It didn't even have to do with the tower itself, but rather the champions the game was balanced around didn't have the flexibility to get in and out of towers without dying.

However over the years, more and more champions got invurnabilities, resets, self heals and shields, aggro resets, etc that makes towers seem so pointless as safe havens from dives or zoning.

That + we got stacking bonus damage from mountain drag, a herald that nukes towers for earlier sieging, and soon a new rune that does bonus damage to structures. Add the power creep from raw damage to all this.

Add in the first tower gold which forces urgency to rush and get the first tower (and the other objectives) and the snowball effect takes over and wins the game from there, where as before you could play the 3 towers down turtle and still win if you wanted.

So basically, yea towers need a buff, because they got their drawback via game development that towers haven't been reworked to keep up with. Its no longer risky irelia and wukong tower dives, its more safe kled and camille all ins, reset, and get out. (not that I'm saying those champions are busted)

gotta agree with tomentula, the towers haven't kept pace with the game, the one time they were worked on they reverted the changes because people complained about the lengthy games.

personally I liked the longer games but I understand that not everyone has time for a 50+ minute game that hinges on the one mess up on either team to just get completely one sided. there is also no longer a risk to tower diving unless you are bot lane at which point the tower picks and chooses when to target things, such as getting dove by the 6 minute mark and watching the enemy walk away with half their health bar because the tower kept attacking minions
