Discussion for some ARAM Changes (Come, let us discuss!)
I just love ARAM and I just want that enjoyable experience to be more consistent. Some things I want to address is the champion pool and the variety of champions we get every game. First problem is that by limiting the champions to what you own, you get common champions being in multiple games in a row. I notice that 3 games in a row, there would be one or two champions who would pop up again. There is also the existence of ARAM accounts (though I don't know if there are a lot of them out there) which again makes the random part of ARAM not so random. I feel it would be better if all champions were available to all. Next point is a possible new Champ Select for ARAM, perhaps making it so everyone has only one reroll and, after a couple of seconds, have the Champ Select add 5 random champions to the pool. There are times where all 5 teammates have 2 rerolls and they have 15 champions to choose from (unlikely but something similar can happen), but then there's the opposite end where your team has very little rerolls and champions you have aren't that good. Having the game auto generate 5 other champions at the beginning of the game at no cost, in my opinion, would be better than giving two rerolls to one person (not to mention that some people want their mains and don't risk rerolling because of it). Bans were a nice touch to ARAM, but there is the other end of the spectrum where you never get your main because he/she is always permabanned. Take Pyke, probably the easiest to clean up a teamfight, he would probably be permabanned. Bans and ARAM Balance Changes cannot be together though which is probably Riot's reasoning for removing Bans. You ban a champion because they're OP, but if they are nerfed in ARAM it kinda cancels out the point of needing to ban. However, champions should not get buffed, only nerfs. If a champion is out of line in ARAM, nerf it. Buffing champions will cause problems (you will need to reassess the champions you buffed to make sure they aren't too strong), it simply doesn't make sense to make more work for the balancing team. Nerf those who are out of hand and bring them to a common level, much easier to do and to assess.
