The LoL community and hating mobility(and range)
I can understand that being less mobile as a trade off is occasionally frustrating when a more mobile champion beats you. That said, the community seems to have an unreasonable bias against mobility(and range but that is another topic I'd rather address separately).
From "A"
to "Z"
most of the most hated(by everyone except their mains) champions in the game tend to be mobile. So if you are among people who are perpetually hating on every champion with a dash, blink or leap in their kit, please answer this for me.
What is your ideal LoL? A wall of 4 slow moving(melee) champions beating on one another with a support healing until their stats/mana give out? I constantly see people talking about how mobility is unfair. Even during metas where Tanks and Juggernauts aren't suffering(which admittedly they have been awful in the diver meta barring a couple tanks and Darius). So what is your solution? What is the LoL you want? This is a serious question, because it seriously needs to be asked if people really hate mobility(and range) that much.
This extends somewhat to ranged champions as well, but again, that is another topic. I just feel the community far too much is looking for a game of immobile(melee) stat sticks beating on one another to death. Unless they are the ones who enjoy playing mobile(or ranged) champions, and even if they do, they sometimes even then demonize other mobile(or ranged) champions...
Me personally, I want all classes to be valid, and all champions to be viable. And for all players to have agency regardless of what they pick. No point in having 135 champions if we only want 20-30 to be viable(looking at both the community and Riot here).
Disclaimer: I do believe there is a such thing as too mobile, obviously if there was a champion with a 1000 range leap on a 2 second cooldown it would be utterly game breaking. And yes, Shyvana is Mobile for a Juggernaut. But before calling too much bias some of my other mains are Ashe, Leona, Malzahar and Soraka.
