please lower dodging penalty somehow

[edit: I mean for NORMAL games]

random teammates are getting more and more toxic for me these days. I just had one match, where a teammate deliberately banned the champ I was showing. So i dodged. waited the 5min penalty... then got put into ANOTHER toxic lobby right away. Toxic, AND stupid team comp! I figured it was going to be a loss. wanted to dodge... but didnt want the double-whammy dodge penalty and potentially being put in the (even worse?)badmatching queue. So, I played it out. and, predictably, team lost horribly.

me: 9/4 teammate1: 3/9 teammate2: 4/14 teammate3: 8/13

This Is Not Fun, riot. Please reduce the dodge penalties. Keep it at 5 min for first few or something?

Nope, raise the dodge penalties.

Dodge is meant to get you out of situations where you have a soraka jungler who is declaring their loyalty to the nazi party in champ select. It is not meant to get you out of being counterpicked in lane because you made bad bans and picked blindly.

nowhere did I say this had ANYTHING to do with counter picking.

This was because of what the morons on MY TEAM picked.

no tank. aurelion sol support.

total garbage

Better just crap all over the game, right?

The problem is that all the arguments you can really provide are because you want to dodge, which is terrible behavior. Languish bad playing, not bad concepts or builds. Some seriously whack builds are good-- in the right hands and teams.

That is to say, don't just be a jerk because you've got your nose out of joint. How are you any better in that case?

dodging for good reason, is not bad behaviour. it is self-preservation. experimentation is fine, so long as the team AGREES to it. if it doesnt.. then either the person trying wierd stuff should stop... or the objectors should have the right to not play it.,

Self-preservation is not playing. You don't have to agree to everything outright for it to take place in your game. It's better to work with your teammates, no matter who or what they are. Even if they're jerks. Otherwise, you're just another jerk.

Dodging isn't cool. I didn't ask to wait for queue times just because the game didn't end up to your standards. Lower your standards or stop playing if it's going to make you dodge; otherwise, accept that there's a miniscule punishment for doing so.

increase it all by 10 minutes.

The problem with this is that people would constantly abuse it just to get their way. Like with champion selecting and banning; if the penalty was so low then people would dodge because the enemy banned something they wanted to play, let alone their team. Im sorry but if you want a strong pick and aren't first or second pick on the team Im banning it.

I. WAS. FKING. FIRST. PICK.

There's already basically no penalty for dodging...lol

You lose LP, not MMR.

If you can't afford to lose that minor amount of LP, you weren't going anywhere fast anyway. You have skills you need to work on, not a huge number of matches to get through in hopes of having a net positive LP gain.

If you're dodging, yes it lowers your LP, but if you're able to climb at a decent speed (meaning you actually do belong higher than you are, even if only slightly), its hardly a setback, and may even result in you skipping two divisions.

If you're that worried about time...why are you playing League of Legends instead of Rocket League?

Make a new account if its that big of an issue for you.

for what it's worth, I meant normals. but the whole "you are able to climb, if you actually belong higher" garbage pisses me off.

I'm a great TEAM player.

People who climb easier, are ANTI-team players. they are solo-carry hogs. they "carry the team", but they usually arent actualy team players. these are not the same things.

example: someone can be a really good support, who shields at all the right times, stuns at all the right times. However, if they keep getting adc's, who dont follow up on stuns, and just keep running INTO fights when they are losing lane... they're not going to be able to get out of low ELO. even though their actual support skills are suitable for much higher.

The high skill supports that belong higher than they currently are would:

A) Play a kill-lane if the difference is significant

B) Support someone who will actually have a more reliable impact

C) If their ADC is passive, try to enable them to farm safely

Etc, etc. ** There are always other answers to what you can do without being a selfish player.**

I've never been a solo-carry player; sometime I get into a position where I can, but that's never been how I've climbed. Yet I easily hit gold. I could continue to climb much higher if I cared about my rank more than just getting the season reward.

You do not, in any way, have to solo-carry in order to climb. And suggesting that having an impact means you're 'anti-team' is fucking retarded, to be frank. Sorry to curse, but you're being absolutely silly.

and by that you mean, "play a 'support' who actually kills stuff, rather than a REAL support"

B) Support someone who will actually have a more reliable impact

whut? you dont get a choice of lane partner. you mean just abandon yoru lane and go to another one? you can get reported for that.

C) If their ADC is passive, try to enable them to farm safely

The problem is never a passive adc. those are easy. the problem is always the overly aggressive, always overextended, always leroyjenkins adc. which there are way, way too many of. even if you say "hey, lets just play safe", etc.

and by that you mean, "play a 'support' who actually kills stuff, rather than a REAL support"

So you're saying Leona, thresh, Braum, Blitz, Ali, etc are not supports? They all essentially create kill-lanes, where the majority of the pressure is from forced all-ins.

whut? you dont get a choice of lane partner. you mean just abandon yoru lane and go to another one? you can get reported for that.

You sit in lane, don't die, and soak exp/use your gold income item. If your ADC is worthless, that means you can leave after your tower will inevitably go down, then roam. This is standard stuff, not reportable stuff.

See above. Don't get baited by your ADC. All there is to say.

It doesnt matter if I dont get baited by my ADC, if he just rambos in by himself all the time and dies anyway. and then of course they complain that I dont go in with them. its a lose-lose unwinnable type of game.
