He's not actually that bad unless he gets super fed. He's pretty predictable with his shadows and you can usually tell when he's gonna ult. If you hate him that much just ban him.

Lugg3 votesHe's bad BECAUSE it's so easy to get him super fed. The nerf to QSS removed the main point of counterplay against him for AD players. Plus it doesn't matter if you know when he is going to ult or swap since you can't stop him anyway 99% of the time.
Zed mains should be the most upset of anyone right now since Riot is going to be forced to gut him and he will end up unplayable like Ryze was for a long time.

In team fights, he may not have as much punch, but if you cannot directly counter pick him in lane, he can almost always safely remove any mage and some assassins from their lane to give him free farming. His energy reliance also gives him indefinite lane presence, where mana based characters cannot function at the same speed.

You could say the same about Azir. Doesn't mean he's not a problem.
Keep in mind, his 49.7% win rate everyone keeps trying to defend him with is against counters. Because everyone is playing Zed counters when he's not banned.

WoonStruck1 votesI don't think laning vs Zed is as much of a problem as people make it seem. He's just far too safe and reliable for what he offers overall.
No other assassin gets out for free, other than Leblanc, who is way harder, who has mana, whose best damage option is her only waveclear, who has a skillshot that can actually miss if its anywhere closer than max range...yeah. There's a reason why she sits around a 40% win rate when she's pick or ban like Zed. Zed's only true weakness is being melee, and its not really a weakness because his kit invalidates it.
You could argue Fizz as well, but the situations where he can use E to escape without needing it for damage are extremely few and far in between.

Edge of Daybreak1 votesPlayer perception is that he is some instant win monster when in reality he's only like 50% winrate. Also complaining about zed on boards is basically free upvotes. We literally have a thread complaining that zed's base stats are higher than shens when plenty of squishies have higher base stats than him. The kicker is your complaint has to be about zed in some way the actual argument can be as terrible as you want the upvotes will still be there.

Holy smokes play liss take barrier or exhaust and you get a free zhonyas at level 6. liss get free spells and can farm safely. She can survive zed tower dives with ease with her ult. Its simple science really
