Elementalist Lux Is Far Beyond That of An Utlimate Skin

It has nearly 50 new particles, a couple of new VOs with unique lines, 10 different portraits, 10 different skin variations, and is only priced at 3250 RP? From Puslefire Ezreal to SG Udyr to DJ Sona all of those are similar enough to each other that you can call them Ultimate skins.

Elementalist Lux? Looks like 10 different 1820 skins for the price of one. Riot should seriously reconsider the low price and raise it or tone this skin down. She should have stayed at 4 elements (Fire, Water, Air, Earth) this is completely overboard and undermines regular Ultimate skins.

How about make the previous ones cheaper rather than making the new one more expensive. It's already $20 why would you want it to be more?

I could defintely get behind this idea. Pulsefire Ezreal isn't anything special at this point. I'd be okay with DJ Sona and this new Lux skin to be the only Ultimate skins out for now. They're unlike anything else in the game.

What about the players who already bought the ultimate skins at full price? I understand sale prices but a permanent lowering means we got jipped out of our 30$ So they can't do that because they don't want to refund the RP.

Prices get lowered when the demand isn't high enough in almost every business setting. You bought the skin and used it for however long and you paid for the time you've spent using it so it's not unfair to anyone who bought before if they made it cheaper. Let's say you bought a video game for $50 and after 3 years a similar game comes out that looks better plays better and is overall a better game, but it's also $50. Would you complain when the old game gets it's price cut in half? No (or you shouldn't) because it's no longer worth the price. It was when you bought it, but not anymore. You got your moneys worth for all the time you spent with the product, so it's really not jipping you out of anything. It's just how things work.

So let me get this straight. You are complaining because Riot...did too good of a job on a skin? o.o.....

I've bought only one ultimate skin in my lifetime: DJ Sona. I see them do an ultimate skin for lux and I'm indifferent. Now I see it's something amazing at the same price of my DJ Sona skin, and now I'm wondering why it's cheap; as if to say for the same price I could have gotten more.

This isn't just an extra transformation, this is 10 different transformations, with unique particles, voice overs, portraits, and possibly sound effects. It's making purchasing skins like these a poor investment if they won't even stay on the same level.

I'm probably going to be hated by this, but I think Riot should make it a bit more expensive than 3250, maybe 3500 or so as I think this is triple the amount of love DJ Sona got. At the same time, yeah it might change the pricing of future skins.

In my whole-hearted opinion, and I say this after putting a lot of money in between 2 DJ Sona Skins, 2 Star Guardian Luxes (One for me and one for a friend), a PROJECT: Ashe and Arcade Ahri, I would not be against some adjustments for skins of this quality. They pay for themselves and it's not like Riot is forcing you to buy if you think the price is unreasonable.

Either way, I absolutely love what they've done and $25 is low for that quality. I think the designers should get a little bit more this time around given the amount of work that's gone in it.

i'm on the fence with this. on the one hand, Riot has completely outdone themselves with Elementalist Lux. Back when i first started, I thought Pulsefire Ezreal was the coolest thing ever. Then I was blown away with DJ Sona and everything that came with it. It was definitely a step up from the "ultimate skin" that was PF Ezreal. Now with Lux, it far exceeds anything we've seen so far in the game. It offers A LOT of content for such a cheap price. If that skin was a standalone game, I would easily put out $50 for it and the best part is there wouldn't be any DLC attached to it.

But i feel like if they spiked the price with this skin then that would mean that Riot would have to alter a lot of things in terms of prices and upcoming skin ideas and what not. I still wouldn't be opposed to paying a little more for that Lux skin though. Just saying.
