5th Best Singed world's idea on a simple new passive

It's a fact no one likes Singed's passive because it's horrible. So I got a good idea that isn't game breaking...
The longer you stay in Singed's poison, escalate its damage rapidly as it continues to tick without interruption. After a long enough amount of time, have the enemy champion or unit explode in a violent cloud of volatile gas for true damage and reset the escalating damage.
