If I don't like a champion, Riot should rework them
I love this philosophy.
I love this philosophy.
If I do bad on a champion, they need to be buffed or the enemy champ needs to get nerfed

If I do bad on a champion, they need to be buffed or the enemy champ needs to get nerfed
but what if you're bad at the champion but the enemy is good at it?
Then I blame my team

who?
who?
The Pool guy, ya know, he tends the swimming pool for all the others. At least, I think that was his name, could have been Moorey.
Sorry, I can't remember anyone named Yorick or Moorey.
depends ... you can't possibly say
or
doesn't need a rework, their kit's are really outdated
While that's true there are stronger candidates than
For example:
Just (sorta) kidding though
EDIT: get downvoted for joking? Shame on you, Yasuo mains Gameplay board, shame on you
I believe Yasuo is in his worst spot right now. Not because he's powerful, but because he's quite the opposite. He gets outshined or countered by the vast majority of top and mid lane champions. I wouldn't really want to see a rework though, because I like how his kit works. It just needs some sort of tweaking to bring him back from the depths of the junkyard.
I was thinking, what if his Q and E roles were rather reversed on their cooldown method and how they interacted with a target. For instance, his q would be a short spammable thing like it is late game, but you couldn't cast it on the same target until the cooldown left. Likewise, his e would scale with attack speed, and he wouldn't be able to dodge as much early game. Late game, he'd have about 1 second between casts. It would make him far less "slippery" in lane, and make him actually have to work at getting his ult off on a target. Then again, this is yet another massive nerf by the sounds of it. So it's a terrible idea unless he gets some compensation.
Well, I was joking.
On a more serious manner - my problem with Yasuo is mostly W. Some of you might say "play around it" and will be 100% correct. The thing is that it is boring to play around it. Like being
and seeing 4 enemies together, but wait, you cannot engage and ult, because a little bit far away stands Yasuo, who would just W your caries and your engage will be a suicide. I am not saying I cannot play around it, even if I am a garbage silver and it would be true. I am saying it is boring. And that's not even the case when I am playing a mage/adc who is getting cockblocked by the wall. Then you can add "frustrating to play against" on top of "boring to play around".
I know that the champion is balanced, having that ability in mind. It is exactly the reason I was simply joking, based on fact that boards (even with me included) hate this champion. Look at the title of the topic for more hints :)
If I, and a large majority don't like this champion, are annoyed by it and think it's unhealthy for the game, as aswell as being the most banned non overpowered champion ever, then there's MAYBE more to this philosophy than you think.
Still wouldn't work, because despite what the boards things the majority of the players do not hate Lee Sin/Yasuo/whatever the circlejerk of the month is. That is evident by the champions being very popular even when they're not the top picks. It's really hard to quantify how many people actually dislike a champion because forums like these are highly biased and attract a certain crowd, and a lot of people are just doing it for the memes. Sadly the only way to get a real result would be to ask random players in-game.
Now, I'm not saying they don't need to be reworked or anything, I'm just saying it's really difficult to tell how disliked something actually is. People who are content rarely say they are, that's why most posts on forums are complaints or suggestions. Even if everyone on the League subreddit (over a million people) hated Champion X they're still only 1% of all registered players.
2015 boards: "Lee Sin and Yasuo complaining is just a month long circlejerk!" 2017 boards: "Lee Sin and Yasuo complaining is just a month long circlejerk!"
Really boggles the noggin.
If a large majority of ppl are annoyed by a champion they will think its unhealthy because they are thinking emotionally instead of thinking what makes the champion weak. Stop being a bitch and learn to play around it, if you get counterpick you probably deserve to lose, for example you cant say you are annoyed if you play lux into fizz get annoyed and then say wow fizz is unbalanced. Its purely emotional, I find Xayah ult annoying and bs, but Xayah isnt unhealthy at all.
I...see...so...old...poppy...was...fine...as...long...as...she...had...between....45%...and....55%...winrate....even...if...she...was....picked...every...other...game...hmmmm.....I...never.......knew....that....hmmmmmmm.....
Oh yes I see it now, anyone who didn't like playing against old poppy was just a "whiny bitch" she fully deserved to be viable and would have been perfectly fine with a 30% pick rate! Damn Riot for intentionally ruining their game by reworking her!
No see thats the problem im talking about, ppl confuse unhealthy kit with ones they emotionally hate. Poppy's old kit was completely unhealthy and allowed no counterplay, along with the fact that she could be a bursty/assassin/tank. Tank Fizz was unhealthy because it wasnt even suppose to be a playstyle for fizz, its a fact that assassin/tank champions are unheathly for the game. But ppl go oh man i've died to yasuo at least 3 times in lane, i'm not buying any armor first as lux and i can't hit any of my abilites, yasuo is so op he has no counterplay.
If a champion is annoying, even emotionally, to a lot of people, they need a rework. The key here is a lot. A significiant number of people find Fizz annoying, for different reasons, most common ones being his troll pole and reliance on ult. So, he gets changes.
Before, one of the problems was how much of FIzz's power budge was shoved into his ult, and how inaccurate it's hitbox was.
That's annoying, both emotionally and gameplay wise.
Most of the things you see as just "emotionally" are gameplay issues.
a smart response to a dumb post isn't totally necessary
I died to this champ, they're OP
Well,if X champions has been a balanced nightmare for a long time period is disliked by a large part of the community.A rework seems like a good solution,
I loved Kindred. Riot still reworked them
You did. Nobody else did. Either they were OP as hell (release until removal of W heal) or useless (W heal removal and onward).
Hell. Even when they were strong, their passive felt…odd. It was almost impossible to kill a champion, because anyone but
would escape, because your damage was so low in that last 5-10% that minions would legitimately do less damage.
I did too.
But can you actually argue that once they weren't overbearing as hell, that they were fun?
I honestly feel like they're better all-around, now. It isn't a major pain in the ass to actually kill something with them anymore. You're actually relevant before your 6th hunt. They can be viable without being gamebreaking.
After the BotRK buffs they were the most fun jungler in the game IMO. I haven't actually tried the new one because its statistics look absolutely abhorrent. I just wanted to prove you wrong when you thought nobody liked them because you didn't like them.
Lol, you are either high or never played Kindred.
They were my second champion, and I don't do drugs. I think I'm qualified to talk about them.
They are my first champ, does it make me more qualified? I don't think so, but still my opinion share 90% of Kindred mains, go to their subreddit if you want proof. They aren't as fun nor strong as before. They weren't useless after removal of heal on W. Impossible to kill a champ? Well, you did something wrong then.
I mean, a good number of their choices for reworks have basically been via the same philosophy.
Riot: We didn't like this champion, who wasn't causing any problems, so we reworked them to change half of their design.
If a rework, of a champion causing no problems, is going to completely change more than 40% of a champion's kit (2 abilities), then it should be proposed as a new champion or a piece of a new champion. Updating kits is fine, changing them is like exchanging content.
if i dont like the rework, revert it, immediately, before anything else
I dunno I think Riots methods are flawed. They want each champion to be picked for a reason, but they ended up completely screwing up champions like Aatrox and Malzahar.
Its like what exactly is your direction for the game?

Yeah, if a champion is fine, they should just leave it be. I'd prefer the focus on releasing new champions instead of reworking champions that players already enjoy and running the risk of ruining that champion for its player base.
I think the idea is they want each champion to be as viable as others in the LCS. But it won't ever be that way. Ever.
Champions like Rakan will always be superior to champions like Malphite, because Rakan does Malphite's ultimate so much better, and that allows more damage to be picked in top lane. So thats why malphite is expected to be updated in the future sometime. But every rework ends up horribly.
21 KILLS! He killed you or your teammates 21 TIMES. Of course one shots will be simple, The enemy team deserves to be one shot if they feed someone 21 kills nuff said.
Disclaimer: This isn't just about Yasuo and Lee sin. chill out guys.
It is a gameplay post and it gets upvotes, so it should be
if riot won't let them be viable for multiple years then riot should rework them
"I don't like to have to learn to play against ____, so riot should just rework them so I can get to the challenger that I deserve with my terrible decision making and CS. After all, it is riot's fault that I don't know how to get out of bronze, not mine. I'm way better than any of these people here."
Mentality of every low elo player.
If it's just one person, the opinion is practically meaningless.
If it's multiple people, then no. The changes are supposed to be made based on the community; if enough people want something changed, RIot will likely change it.
That's how all changes work. People don't like X, it gets changed.
It doesn't matter if you don't like the philosophy. That's the way things are.
I just love how that's the go to for every bronze silver gold player when discussing things on reddit.
Hmm I feel this champion is OP because insert non valid reason, should be reworked.
TBH if EVERYONE doesn't like a champion then a rework is a valid solution. Though unpopularity is a much more common reason than hate.
But
actually need to be changed
