2 Years later I'm still high Silver. WHY?? ;-;

I don't feel like im getting better at this game. I'm a one-trick diana main with well over 700k mastery pts on all of my accs combined. However I still don't feel like I'm **amazing **at her. Yasuo / Riven / Zed mains at 700k mastery points are always incredibly talented and are able to pull off the craziest plays. Despite all the knowledge I have on Diana , I still don't feel like im getting better at her.

I main Katarina too and It's almost the same deal. I have 150k on her but I get countered so easily when I reached high silver. Someone suggested I switch to similar champions with a higher skillcap (such as Riven ) but I'm very unfamiliar with top lane, I know nothing about top lane matchups. What should I do?

Didn't you say you were the first female ever to reach Masters a few days ago?

Actively try to learn how to play the game and improve. If you are still only silver after two years of playing than you are doing something fundamentally wrong over and over and over again. Go to summoner school, it's a subreddit that is dedicated towards learning how to play the game.

Nearly 6 years...still Bronze...

...nah jk i'm worse i'm unranked

Honestly if you don't feel like you're getting better at this game or if you're one tricking with someone you don't think you're getting anywhere with, it's all up to personal experimentation. I'd say Lee Sin at this stage is pretty similar to Diana, like an AD Diana so if you want you can try him out. Seeing the champions you list I'm assuming you're an avid mid laner so I'd suggest push your boundries in terms of mid lane champions. My recommendations are Fizz since he's AP and melee which as Diana you should be fairly comfortable with, despite not having poke, he is incredibly slippery and a nightmare for skillshot-based champions, Ekko as he's AP, melee and has a fair bit of poke and mobility, Kassadin as his snowballing potential is insane, has modest poke and is also AP melee. To branch out and go to the opposite side of mid lane I'd recommend trying out (just trying out) Orianna and Syndra, both are control mages and would be quite interesting for you to get a feel for them if you haven't before.

Good luck out there my dude!

Why do you think top lane is any different? I am locked in this silver hell for quite some time too. If you do solo que then prepare for cancerous game matching system.

Micro: Winning lane, winning all match-ups through micro trades... building a giant EXP lead in Mid through lane presence (your enemy should be forced to back or die a lot... or he'll be bullied and then go "roaming" only to have you get even more EXP)

Macro: Focus on destroying Towers AND defending Towers. Always safely push waves (collecting massive EXP advantage)... players up to high Silver won't "clean up" safe minion waves. Many times the team that wins is simply the team with the most people attacking the minions believe it or not. With good macro, it should look like you are "splitting" most of the time (while watching the radar) and only showing up to Teamfight and win them, and then back to "splitting." Always Collect. Always Collect the minions.

"Baron Bait Trap" 80%+ of games that get past 30 mins are thrown because of a bad Baron. If there is ANY FUCKING DOUBT about a Baron... Ping "!" and keep farming the sides. Your team will hate you for it but I'm telling you... can't count how many games where bad Baron calls cost the game. Its the Number One Trap. Better no Baron then Baron and Lose.

Honestly part of the problem is the number of people in silver. Hopefully the new ranked system with more ranks helps. And before someone may say "but you're silver too, you can't talk" yes I can. I am friends with a guy who has been bronze for like five seasons now. He is without a doubt the worst player I know in real life. He pretty much only slams Sona, does terrible, says she was nerfed into the dirt, and if he dies to one says she's hacking because she does way too much damage. This guy will flash R under tower To "secure" and I mean secure, he thinks they won't die, an enemy who is ignited with Darius' bleed. And this guy isn't alone. There are a lot of people like Greg who play this game, and a lot of them can be bronze or silver, and it makes the game a lot harder for his team. I hope the new ranks make it easier to climb by making Greg's unable to be in the same game as people who are improving little by little, but really are held back.

Idk have you tried watching your replays? It helps seeing your game from an external point of view. btw it's definitely not a mechanic problem imo. I have garbage mechanics and got diam 4 seasons in a row just with pure game knowledge and good decision making.

It's probably because you focus way too much on simply mechanics of your champion and nothing else. Also, those champions are feast or famine and are very execution-heavy. If you fall behind, you're useless, and if you don't execute correctly, you will fall behind. That's why you must realize that you do wrong to set you behind (assuming you have the champion mechanics), like laning phase, minion wave control, when to roam, target selection, maximizing potential etc.
