What is up with Caitlyn?

So I'm playing my favorite all time champion, Kog'Maw. I'm in lane vs a Caitlyn/Alistar. Soraka has my back though, right? WRONG. Caitlyn then continues to 1v2 because 1) I do next to no damage even with the same items 2) out ranges me 3) "kiting" through the bush gives her at least 3 headshots 4) not to mention me having to walk around each and every trap to get to her 5) net hitbox?? 6) fix that fucking passive.

In all honesty I know Kog'Maw is a piece of shit right now (though Riot plans to do nothing this far) but Caitlyn is extremely boring/unfun to lane against.

Kog'maw has a very bad early game but can stand in place autoattacking to 1v5 pentakill lategame

Do t blame it on support, don't make board posts about salt, and make sure to compliment the Caitlyn for the play there. The champ isn't broken. Just the player used her well. Get over it. Is Caitlyn supposed to be early game? Or is she late? I honestly don't know how to even talk to someone like you that spews random non-sense that throw around the word "salt" and "unhealthy".

But isn't that why Kog'maw jungle is trash now, but people where doing it a bunch a few weeks ago? Since he can just farm by himself safetly in low elo where people can't invade, and then he doesn't gank anyone and goes 0/0/0 until lategame. Going a bad early game adc vs a Caitlyn which will just poke you since she has so much range isn't a very good idea.

I'm not sure if jungle Kog would work in mid gold elo, I'll have to try it out though.

Not sure if my team mates would be too happy about not ganking for them. The whole point of Old Kog was to get into the mid game with Triforce and BoRK, but since both have changed he's rendered completely useless anywhere besides midlane and Riot had made it clear they don't want Kog midlane.

People were doing it before his rework got reverted because he had an extremely high synergy with bloodrazor. Without the doubled attack speed, that is no longer true. He's much weaker now than he was before the rework was reverted. He can't just wait for the late game, because he's not much stronger than other AD carries there.

I thought you were trying to serenade me with what seemed like a Haiku.

Perhaps she did do a very good job, but it is wrong so always assume that. You cannot simply say, "they were better" in any instance that you lose. Besides walking around her traps and "attempting" to side step her net, there is very little counter play in a 1v1 situation. In a 1v2 situation it may be different but once against we are assuming.

Thank you, i am practicing my poetry. Although, maybe he counters Kogmaw. There is always something you can do better. Maybe try to devise a strategy around that mistake. Ok, so shes killing me 1v1 and even 1v2. How do i get around this? Then try to build and play around that. WIth enough work put into it, you should do well. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

If you lost a 1v2 as kog soraka vs caitlyn then you have some serious skill issues...

Soraka counters cait the hardest

I'm not sure why we lost. Kog'Maws abilities don't scale with the BF sword that I bought and has abilities that are extremely mana costly that once again do no damage. W is a pretty strong ability, however Caitlyn out ranges Kog by 100 units and that's not including the +650 units from her passive. Only way I could kill her was to flash over the traps she had set and simply auto her.

cait has always bullied and punished kog in laning phase kog is trash in laning typically... and he dont win lane ... he just bides his time and then 23 min+ as long as he didnt get dumpstered on he out scales ( he is in a bad place in the meta right now )

but to have kog with soraka ( nefred to death ) vs an alistar cait that is a lost lane cuz soraka cant do anything to protect you but heal she cant stop any engage from alistar and keep him from getting to you..

better support for kog would be Braum Lulu Janna Lulu Sona Taric

23+ minutes in? I'm not sure if you've played Kog'Maw yet but he is almost as bad as he is at the start of the game between 20-30 minutes

I just have to play him for fun, right? That's what the game is for, just to have fun and play the champions that are fun. There is no point in the game besides having fun with the champion - DEFINITELY not winning or anything

if you play to have fun and enjoy the game you dont get tilted ( which you seem you are ) and when you lose a game ( cuz you will no one wins 100% ) you wont care as much and when you do win a game while having fun playing you enjoy it more

in a competition usually you compete to achieve something... a prize, $ etc....

we are talking about a bunch of game nerds playing a video game where win or lose there is no real prize or consequence to losing

now i know i get it there is rank blah blah blah... but it dont mean anything ... you all like to think it does but all it truly does is put players of similar skill levels vs each other so you have a chance to win and feel content with the game to keep you playing...

for example: if i was bronze and i got placed against diamonds every time i played the game while learning the game i would not enjoy the game and become frustrated with it and chances are not play any more therefore i wouldnt spend $ on skins/champs etc therefore RIOT as a business loses money

but if im placed with people on my skill level what ever it may be then the game is fun and maybe challenging from time to time so i become addicted to the game and play more and more cuz i feel its enjoy able therefore im more likely to buy something in the game hence where riot makes $

the only true competition in this game is at the pro level because for one... like at worlds... they play on a LAN network with no lag... they all use the same PC with the same specs and monitors... so the platform in which they play is even with the same fps. lag, ping etc... where as far as the rest of league the other 99.9% of players we all have different set ups. connections etc and a difference of 30ms could be the result of a lost trade and a kill due to the player with better ping is able to get their commands executed and processed a lil cleaner and faster.

so the game in general outside of pro play is set up for you to enjoy it and have fun so you keep playing and riot keeps making 1.4 billion + yearly

You keep trying to relate it to video games and league. I am asking you what is the point, the purpose of a competition? Why do soccer players play a full game of soccer? Why do chess players play chess? Why do runners run miles and miles? Why do people try to be first? It isn't for fun. The purpose of a competition is to win.

the FIFA world cup is different... they are professionals the play for $ and the more they win and the better they become the more $ they make

its still for fun and enjoyment of the game

there are single player games for that sole reason, just to have fun. if you want a suggestion you can play Stardew Valley. They have discussion boards just like this where you can continue your talk about having fun.

I am a very competitive person. Whether it is grades, games, sports, etc. I play to win and that's it.

you are in gold bro which is ok but your not that good at the game.. you have less then a 50% win rate win rank...

being competitive in gold does what ? nothing...

maybe you might have more fun and enjoy the game more if you take it in that mindset...

and i played sports. 3 yrs varsity football.... wrestled , competed in powerlifting and played some semi pro rugby

i played cuz i loved played it brought joy to me and it was fun... yea i tried to win and i did my best to do so but i didnt play cuz all i wanted to do was win...

win and loss was just the by product of the experience

and as far as grades ... i graduated college with a 3.87 gpa

highschool with a 3.6gpa

Caitlyn is extremely boring and unfun to play against, but that is all lane bullies.

It does not make them unmanageable. What puts Caitlyn over the edge is her trap spamming, specifically under the enemy turret. Those need to be fixed, then maybe we wouldn't have to see her every single game in Gold and Silver. Her pick rate is BS right now.

I'm tired of seeing her too, but she just isn't worth a ban.

but in majority of the games that you played kog you had the most damage dealt on your team as kog

so you out damage your teammates on a bad champ that does no damage

I have to work so hard to earn that damage though. Compared to other ADC/AP champions I have to put 150% of the effort for Kog'Maw. I could easily pick up Jinx and win games but I shouldn't have to put down a champion that I love because there is a better version. This may sound like I'm contradicting what I said about "I play to win". I am using it as a general phrase.
