So the Redemption Item is a no win scenario for supports

If the item stays as is, the other team blames you for saving the carry with your OP cheesy goodness and complains on the forums for it to be nerfed. In reality, they forgot their supposed used his redemption all game and they never noticed it.

If the item loses the active or sees it nerfed, your teammates blame you for not saving their behinds and supports can't carry again.

That first paragraph sounds like a win.

What, are you going to be upset that people are saying mean things to you. Then you aren't a support main. On top of that, you get an OP thing to abuse for a little while (or longer if Riot doesn't deal with it), something that makes you be seen as a complete member of a team, not just a wardbot or healbot. I like this situation.
