Can you not completely gut Aatrox?

Aatrox has changes on the PBE that'll tank his already horrendous 45% winrate even further Those dashes he needs to hit his Q? He only gets one now His healing off minions is already mediocre right now but on PBE they're straight up removing it and he can only heal off champions. I rarely see this champ get picked/banned it seems he's unpopular everywhere except high elo and pro play. It's really sad to see another fun champ get thrown into the trash again, RIP Aatrox*[zombie-nunu-tears]*

When I hear "victim of pro play" I translate it into "champ that is broken if you know how to play it regardless of it's soloQ winrate being low"

Can you say Sej, Tahm, Braum, Kalista are broken if you know how to play them? They are just extremely good for organized team comps so they get gutted. It all comes down to riots unwillingness to straight up ban some champs from Pro so they can be balanced in soloq

And he will need a lower winrate to be balanced, Aatrox top on the current patch it's still op regardless of the low soloQ winrate for a hard champ with also huge pickrate.

I don't think Aatrox is as universally hated as Akali is, I'm pretty sure Akali was nearing an 80% banrate at one point, meanwhile aatrox is rarely banned outside of proplay/high elo

What are you talking about? Aatrox has like a 30% ban rate in plat+ that just keeps going up (albeit slightly) in diamond+ or master+.

Also 'gutting' him... they're also giving him just innate HP regen buffs. So he won't heal off minions... at 15% effectiveness on his 20% healing base which ends up being like 3% damage.

So level 1 he'll heal 36 HP per minute more, which is about 1200 damage to minions over a minute equivalent to match that healing from the 'non champion damage healing' from his E that is getting removed. I'm not sure that's a nerf.

Okay bud i'm sure 0.1 more HP regen is gonna make up for not having 2 E's which are necessary to land his combo against anything mobile and make up for his lane sustain. Aatrox is supposed to be a juggernaut but he is relatively squishy so healing is supposed to make up for that. If they're taking away a majority of laning sustain and a trading tool they need to make him tankier like the likes of Darius or Garen.

It's not supposed to make up because he doesn't need a power shift, he needs a plain nerf and that's what he's getting.

Aatrox is most definitely not a juggernaut. also it's .1 more HP GROWTH. He has 3 more base regen. Also maybe you're not playing aatrox right if you can't land your full combow ithout 2 Es.

Ah, he was a diver before his rework, and that's odd since he's much more mobile than other juggernauts... one of the key defining aspects of juggernauts. also his CURRENT sustain sucks compared to other juggernauts like Garen, Darius, Illaoi. Also that's an unofficial website, and Riot's 'look at subclasses' whcih admittedly is before Aatrox rework and I guess his rework does say "juggernaut" in there which can either be admitting he's a juggernaut or just tongue and cheek.

Then again, that being said... the healing juggernauts that deal damage to heal are reliant on hitting champions (or just an activated item / passive), so that is just bringing it in line with the rest of his class

I love how a bronze player who has 0 games on aatrox gets to call people out for "not playing aatrox right if you can't land your full combo without 2 E's" .Aatrox's full combo is land the first q while punishing last hit, q e since you landed your first q barely, and then q e again(and flash if necessary) to hit the third q. You absolutely need the second q for full combo, and anyone who thinks otherwise has either never played Aatrox or is bronze and gets to play against players who have no idea what the danger radius of a champion is. Or in your case, both.
