Unofficial PBE Patch Notes for 2/13/2015

If these changes go through there will be no point in picking Morde. EVER. Not only is this a huge hit to his damage but also his survivability. I'm completely devastated. I might love the idea of an Ap-bruiser Mordekaiser but instead of tweaking his scalings they also gut his base damage and ruin his shield gain.

They promised us he'll live longer but kill slower but he'll live shorter and not kill at all with these changes...

I belive Riot's philosophy was to favor a Mordekaiser, as you said, as a bruiser. I would compare this form of Mordekaiser to Hecarim or Renekton, where the low ratios cause full damage to be near irrelevant while building bruiser can lead to significantly better results.

This also makes sense from a design perspective- you wouldn't expect a man in heavy metal armor (like his music) to run around 100-0ing people.

I already build him Bruiser-like but with these changes he'll have less damage than garages, who can get away with having low damage as he brings great CC to the fight. This change not only wrecks his shield gain but also his damage instead of addressing the main problem, which is his let's ap ratio and bursty nature. a Power-shift would have been needed but not this sad excuse for a NERF!

Unless you are hitting 0MR targets or do not build any HP you'll get more shields from 4% max HP per target than 35% of damage dealt. This is especially true at lower levels when your abilities are not maxed out.

Not true I ran the math. Its less Shield gain across the board. Especially considering your Ghost attacking no longer generates Shield.

as someone who plays Mordekaiser every so often, or less and less now... it's true, DOESN'T BRING ANYTHING TO A COMP, and don't you dare say he does dmg or ap, his scaling is gone, cc? still not there..., survivability? nerfed as well... (unless you ult a tank... but then your not getting your ghost...)
