What if We Nerfed GP’s Q and Buffed His Passive?

Right now, GP depends on Q for poke and Grasp procs to harass and sustain while farming. There’s no skill expression or outplay potential in that, making this part of his lane little fun for both sides.

What if we nerfed his early-rank Q mana cost, with a full or partial refund on unit kill, and buffed the early levels of his passive, Trial by Fire, to encourage Gangplank to play up and fight in melee during lane instead?

He might need base stat tweaks like more Base Health Regen to compensate for the damage he would take, but it would end the problem of GP either being able to safely scale in meta matchups or not. He would have to put himself at risk to keep his opponents from whittling him down.
