If Riot simplified Lee's kit by removing something like ward jumping...

He would need buffs to his upfront strength and base stats since a large part of the reason why he seems to be tanky is just because he can duck and weave out of fights. If Riot were to simplify Lee Sin, he would end up getting net buffs in the hands of 90% of the players and his winrate would rise greatly in the lowest levels of play, and probably rise in every level other than the LCS.

He would become more popular and powerful unless Riot decides to just gut him and leave him both with inferior upfront power and his now-bad mobility. Riot doesn't seem to like gutting champions directly so that isn't likely to happen.

They actually tried to remove that months ago but put it back in because their precious Lee Sin lost his ability to dart several times back and forth over the same wall and make dem flashy playzzz

No they just gated the ward jump stupidly hard.

Also I cant remember what Lee's base stats were like back then, but the W/E were basically gutted with it, although the R had a cool mechanic.

Because that's exactly what Lee Sin needs right now, more base power. Right...

With a massive portion of the player base begging Riot to nerf him, I don't think he needs a boost at all, even at the cost of his 'ward dash'.
