What is the advantage of Jhinn?
I'm having trouble imagining why Jhinn would be advantageous vs. a regular ADC.
A regular ADC scales harder than Jhinn does from crit and AS in terms of DPS.
Jhinn offers no exceptional utility.
So why Jhinn?

He's not supposed to be a traditional ADC. Instead of focusing on shredding down his targets over time, he's focused on sniping down the squishy backline targets VERY quickly and from a good distance away.
This means he would be more viable as a high damage mid laner, meaning you can have BOTH a backline-killer and a frontline-shredder on the same team.
However, he should only be picked mid when assassins are for-sure not going to be picked that game, or they are just weak at the time.
the problem is that his burst is not significantly higher than other mids while being AD and having low utility and mobility. The question then becomes: why Jhinn instead of Lux, Syndra or even Corki?
His 4th shot of his passive and ult is an execute not to mention his zone control due to traps + his long range assistance with w is spectacular at times.
Everyone always say his dps versus tanks is bad but idk, it seems fine to me. And he kills carries in 3 shots in the mid to late game, I think he scales fine. Anyways, he has tons of range, so there's that. You can catch people out really easy with his ult. If you get 100% crit and furor boots, you become the fastest adc in the game so there's that too.
There are a few advantages to playing him. He has insane range on his W and R, his traps are quite good for zone control, his W can help allies by rooting targets, and he does ungodly damage once he gets some AD. It's pretty easy to get 800 AD on him plus he does percent health damage on his ult.
He is basically an improved version of Caitlyn IMHO.
Securing kills is his job, either via his root or by executing with ultimate and 4th shot.
This and good use of his Q as a poke make him able to scale terribly good in lategame.
Pick potential, his W snares anyone his teammates touch, and has long range, his Q provides good AoE, his E is a good zoning tool in teamfights, and combos nicely with W. Also, his ult does wonders if you can land at least 3 shots, and his damage is pretty much the same as an ADC, just in shorter bursts.
Jhin is more of an AD scaling mage really, he doesn't have the consistent damage output for rushing down objectives or dealing with tanks, but he does have some a decent damage rotation.
He is an AD Xerath not an ADC.
You should never pick a team where Jhin is the only "adc." Because he doesn't provide anything you want with an adc pick.
