Anyone else tried J4 in the mid lane?

Been playing some J4 here recently and due to a miscommunication I thought I was the jungler and ended up having to go mid versus an Azir(was being a team player in ranked). Went for the corrupting potion start directly in to a and pretty much proceeded to wreck azir and if his ult was up would roam down bot for constant double kills. I think I ended the game with like 18 kills or so. I had a lot of fun doing this and was wondering if anyone else has done up assassin J4 in the mid lane? He seems to wreck so many meta laners atm. Anyone else had some success with this?

ADJ4 is best J4

I recall it being a legitimately scary pick some time back in S4(?) I think.

I've played J4 mostly in the top lane (not at all in mid). I can see it working well though, especially against the right people (i.e. ones that can't bully him out of lane too much before he hits 6, either due to being melee or due to mana costs).

I've had great success with him top against stuff like Swain and Lulu though (which you could see mid). I've also had great success with him against various top laners when the enemy mid laner is immobile (e.g. when Veigar was really strong, I'd take J4 top, roam mid when I hit 6 and get my mid laner a kill with 100% success [except when I got the kill]). So I can definitely see J4 mid being a good pick in the right circumstances.
