One of the biggest reasons people have such a hard time climbing Ranked ladder.

Were all guilty of this but I see way to many people in lower elos trying to play champions who are way to mechanically intensive for them to handle at their current skill level. They wanna play someone like Azir or Yasuo but they don't have the mechanical ability to do so consistently and reliably majority of the time.

I'm not saying don't play these champs but you might have a much better time if you try playing champions that are a lot easier to play until you get the mechanical skills under your belt to actually handle some of these harder to play champions.

Remember a win is a win and screw what other people say. I've had so many people flame me for picking Annie because Annie is such an easy noob champ to play. Well guess what I just won my game with this easy to play champ and I'm now another 20+lp above you. I'm climbing your not!

But Azir is actually the perfect champ for solo q ranked. He will literally just carry the team by himself if/when he makes it into the late game. Same with Yasuo and Cassiopeia.

Climbing is not necessarily a goal in itself. If you never play challenging champions, you'll never progress with those.

And that comes from a D3 main nasus/yi/jax that's probably one of the worst ADCs/most mechanically challenging champions world. Though I learnt mechanics are really a small part of league. Game knowledge (matchups, how to hold a lane, how to snowball, when to do what) is a huge part. So you can actually get much better by playing braindead champions.

So... just play the champions you like to play. Don't play to climb, play to get better, play to have fun. You'll climb along the road.

You're not going to develop any mechanical skill playing Annie, either. The only way to get better at mechanically intensive champions is to play them. And even then, over 500 games later, I still fuck up several times a game.

Gangplank I always try to do well, but then I just feed horribly against god damn Taric who hasn't hit level 30 yet

Yasuo's not really that hard mechanically, but yes.

This is also how completely overloaded CertainlyT champs appear to have a 'balanced' winrate

This is a problem with the game design. Some champs have training wheels. The problem is that they never come off.

A player with skill 0 can win with them vs a player with skill 20 playing a champ without training wheels, a player with skill 100 can win with them vs a player with skill 100 playing a chap without training wheels.

The CHAMP has a handicap and they should not.

Riot really has no clue out to make a balanced game. They only care about LCS replays because that is where the money is. If no one wanted to watch the OMG Plays from LCS fav champs then guess what would happen to those champs?

Play heimer mid. Enjoy your win :)

(for some reason people always assume that ganking a level 6 heimer with his 3 turrets up/ult up is a good idea and wonder why he survives with a double kill)

Edit : or they just ignore your and you're at 200 cs at 20min killing their inhib tower.

the problem with playing mechanical champions is you are doubling down on your personal ability to throw a game because now not only can a bad call happen but you could also mechanically missplay and throw a fight.

by saying "you gotta play the mechanical champs to get better that them" you are implying that the game is entirely about mechanics and that's just not true, theres other knowledge to be gained and you can learn that stuff more easily when you are also trying to learn all the mechanics of a champion.

I read everyone replies and I agree with most of them and I also thought It was actually nice to see some decent discussion on the boards. Thank you to all who replied.
