Even Riot has DFG has "essential item" to veigar.

To people that dont know what im talking about Riot came out saying they're removing DFG from summoners rift.

They also specifically said they would be adjusting Veigar and other champs that have DFG as essential. I for one am looking forward to not getting burst down from two screens away from a Leblanc. I'm curious what they will be doing with all those champs.

I'm not sure with a 2.5 second AoE stun on top of an incredibly punishing R can ever truly be dead.

veigar didnt even need to land his W to assassinate someone with DFG.

DFG, R, Q. It happened fast enough that he didnt even have to land his stun. There was no escaping it, especially if he flashed for it.

I'm sorry that you have to actually play your champion properly now?

If you can only assassinate one person with veigar, then veigar is useless.

IDK where you're getting this information from. Turning a 5v5 into a 5v4 is extremely useful. Especially if you survive to get a second box off.

I'm going to keep playing Veigar. I've had good runs Veigar without building Foxfire Grasp. Rabadan's is more critical.

Apparently no one knows how to read, because they CLEARLY stated that the champions that heavily relied on Deathfire Grasp were going to be changed to compensate for their losses. Meaning Veigar, Ahri, Morde, and whoever, will all BENEFIT from this, because they don't have to spend money on it anymore. They just have more to their kit

The second reason is strongly tied to the first; removing this item gives us room to buff champion kits that would otherwise be overpowered if they could use DFG...

... expect Veigar to get attention either this patch or next.

And if he doesn't get attention this patch then we go months with Veigar being weak as shit because they're removing DFG rhis patch.

Also, I play support veigar, so I highly doubt their little bit of buffs will make up for the loss of DFG.

"either this patch or next patch" Meaning, its a good possibility Veigar will be buffed next patch which will make Veigar super weak for months.

Also, id like to see what kind of buffs they can give to Veigar that allows him to be viable in the support role with the removal of DFG. I mean.. it could happen, but I do not have my hopes up at all.

Riot also said it may be next patch, hence 4-5 months my main support will be super weak.

If they break champions with huge changes they need asap fixes.

The DFG removal is only on the pbe right now. It's possible that many champs, Veigar included, will be getting some work before it hits live. Remember, just because they do it on pbe now, doesn't mean it's hitting next patch. ZZRot for example.
