Zoe doesn't look like a burst mage

From examining her teaser carefully she seems to get a Foxfire type effect whenever she uses a summoner spell or item active (possibly only summoner spell) and it seems to consume a charge and hit an enemy each tick (looks like it ticks at a rate of 0.75s but not sure)

So given that it takes her ~2.25s to unload the damage from that, and she can refresh it during a fight to keep it going for a while, well, that's not really burst.

She looks pretty fun and everything but yeah.

If she's suppose to be a burst mage then why does she have assassin properties?

Burst mage: Syndra Annie

Assassin Mage: Leblanc Kassadin

Utility Mage: Orianna Taliyah

EDIT: Also I freaking love the new champion, It's like Lulu and Bard had children.

yeah she seems like an assassin too in that, I assume, the foxfire-like mechanic would autotarget and make her want to go for isolated targets.

But she also has utility mage parts in her kit, so she isn't just an assassin either. She seems more like a utility mage + Assassin.

S'kind of awkward though because Riot balances based on classes, not individual champions. If a champion is categorized as a class, that means that they will be balanced based upon that class; I feel like this might be a balancing disaster despite how awesome the champion seems to be. As of what we know so far though, too early to really put her in a specific category . . . (I feel like she's going to be Lulu'd or Ecko'd.)

I think it's safe to say that none of us actually know what her kit or cooldowns are yet besides her possible passive ability to use other people's summoner spells and item actives or her sleep buble.

Let's just wait for the full reveal before we decide whether she is or isn't a burst mage.

Pay more attention to the teaser. Using the spells gives her a buff that shoots lasers at nearby enemies. It refreshes whenever she casts an ability so she can keep the damage coming for quite a long time.
