Senna is strong but there are plenty of small tweaks that can be done to even her out.

Senna's pretty good right now, but at the same time I think her kit is fine. There are just a few things about her kit that can be removed and/or tweaked that most people don't notice.

For example: Her spirits give her three gold. On paper, this doesn't seem like much. But remember that Senna is a supportive (or focused on) character who is meant to not have that MUCH gold income. 25 spirits is enough for a free vision ward which places her slightly ahead. This also considers that if Senna is the basic AD and farming normally she gets a little extra gold off certain minions. One doesn't expect it to but this can add up over time. Going back with 100 less gold on any other support is something Senna doesn't have to worry about.

Another thing is that her Q damages structures. I get that it can target them but...damage them? Again, this doesn't sound like too big of a deal on paper until you consider Senna can double-up on tower damage. Late game this also makes her a potent siege character as she can dunk on towers with an AD build. It also deals a pretty nasty amount of damage. It also applies on hits so there's, y'know, that. Not to mention it also heals Senna herself, which means she has a bonus self-heal aspect to her kit. Q also allows Senna to collect mist from foes, which contributes further to her potential stacking.

And of course there's outside factors as well: item 3179 allows her nuke wards and have a sweeper on hand with a short cooldown, an item no other support can build without dipping into a bunch of terrible stats. Senna also has the Kai'sa benefit of being able to itemize for both AD and AP, albeit more so dipping into supportive AP items which allows her immense flexibility. If you wanted to you could nerf AD Ratios or Buff AP ratios to make AP/Support items more desirable for her.

Despite Senna's strength, I don't want a situation where Riot ends up removing swathing chunks from the character. For all the bluster about her, she has clear weaknesses (Tanks/initiators ruin her day) and really isn't that difficult to deal with provided she's not overbearing nor insanely fed. Trimming away at some of the invisible strengths of her kit can ease her down from being so strong while not turning her into a dumpster fire. Hopefully we don't have another situation where a champion becomes gutted for solo queue only to enter the endless buff/nerf cycle because we struggle once more between pro and PUB balance.

i might sound extreme but i find the self heal from the q totally unnecessary. It gives her unnecessary sustain making her viable solo in other rolls rather than mid. Keep the gold and passive including the poke but her lane sustain is too much imo.

Back then when she was on the PBE, I made a thread asking if the 3 gold she gets for every soul are actually needed.

Got downvoted to oblivion and people told me "it's just 3 gold, you won't notice anyway!". But in the end, it is just another small detail slapped on her that is simply not necessary. Her passive gives her 3 stats already, AD, crit, and range. That should be enough reward for grabbing these souls, so I didn't understand why Riot thought it is needed to also reward her with gold.

So I guess you are right here, even if Senna is definitely too strong right now and seems a bit loaded as a champion, at least she has alot of balance levers for Riot to tune her. Hopefully, changing some of these details will bring her in line. Time will tell.

It's me or are you adressing that Senna Supp is almost balanced and the issue is Senna ADC just to list nerfs mostly specifically for Senna Supp ?

That doesn't make sense at all.

Honestly her strength as a support isn't much of an issue. She's actually fairly balanced for that role, maybe a small passive tweak to tone back the speed of scaling, but otherwise I think she's ok. It's her performance as an ADC right now that is troublesome.

Remove souls from CS she takes to lower the power of ADC Senna. Remove the self heal or reduce her base range to make her less of a 1v1 lane bully in general.

Senna needs parts of her kit removed. She just does too much. Her Q has a huge range and width with decently low cd and can heal teammates, and damage enemies and towers, all at once in theory. Why is her ult global? The bigger problem with her kit doing so much is now all future champs will need to be progressively more and more complicated. Aphelios now is carrying 5 weapons and has a redesigned hud... Like can we just have niche champs that fulfill specific roles. It makes team building more meaningful and also makes champs feel more like they have a purpose.

I think that the only nerf that makes sense is a duration root nerf to her W. Her W is too close to range/mana/functionality/duration to Morgana's Q, and it doesn't require her to even hit her target; It can be a minion.

I think that alone wouldn't overly impact her Support role success, but it WOULD impact her adc role, because her adc success duos are all relying on her CC + a CC support, making 4-6 pure seconds of root/stun etc.

If her W was reduced to say a flat 1.5 second root, we'd find that her overall performance as an adc would probably drop 2-3%, and her support performance would drop about .4-.8%.

The 3 gold is not impactful and she is doing fine as a support.
