Yasuo isn't as good of a duelist as Tryndamere, he isn't as good of a team fighter as Nautilus, he isn't as much of a lane bully as Pantheon, and he isn't as much of a hypercarry as Twitch.

Now that we have established that Yasuo is not the best at any of these things, let us address them individually:

Yasuo is more of a team fighter than a duelist. He is easily the worst at dueling among melee carries save maybe Gangplank. and many champions in other roles (Nasus, Malphite, Rammus, Diana, perhaps Azir) can beat him 1v1 late game. He is more of a late game champion than an early game champion. Yasuo's early game isn't particularly great. Champions with good lockdown and burst can easily beat him in trades and 1v1s early game in lane. He only really lanes well against immobile mages who aren't very strong in lane, as opposed to an immobile mage like Malzahar who is very strong in lane.

Yasuo is fine.
