Malzahar nerf plz?

Don't understand how this is fair, but Malz has a Silence, a DoT that will go to another target after killing someone, an AoE that has a huge area, and a suppression that does way too much damage, percent max health damage, and each scales way too much, paired with relatively low cooldowns on said abilities. His Q scales with 80% of AP and silences, his W does a huge AoE % max health damage that scales with 1% per 100 AP, his E jumps from target to target, allowing him to clear waves and get a second, more powerful ignite essentially. And his ult. His f**king ult. I main AP Assassins, which means Malz has absolutely no counterplay against them. Which is stupid. If we could get something like a QSS for Ability Power champs, this would help immensely with Malz. Anything would help, as long as he is somehow nerfed.

You realize of course that Malz is basically only lethal in lane, when it goes to teamfighting, you stay away from the giant circle on the ground and he does virtually no damage.

I do however get your frustration on the suppression in lane, if he locks you down on that circle with his ult you're basically dead, granted he's then useless afterwards, which is why he's not that much of a threat later in the game. An AP QSS item would be delightful though, something similar to Abyssal Scepter would be perfect.

Riot doesn't seem to like hard item counters anymore, otherwise Executioner's Calling would be back in the game by now, or at least pop into the PBE.

They leave QSS and Mercurial Scimitar alone, Zhonyas and Hexdrinker/Maw of Malmortius directly hard counter burst damage, the latter of the two you don't even have to think about it just does it.

I frankly believe Executioner's Calling was removed in large part due to the fact that it was a poor item choice, it didn't have the stats to justify purchasing an item that didn't turn into anything else. I want to find an item for comparison, but none existing right now make sense, that's how poor of an item Executioner's Calling was. It came with 25 AD and 20% crit chance plus the Grevious wounds passive, for a total of 1900g, which no doubt was cost effective, but the item itself wasn't a full item. The only price comparisons are Aegis of the Legion and Tiamat, both of which hold their own as well as being built into something else. Executioner's Calling just didn't.

"and each scales way too much"

Malzahar is a lategame APC, sort of the reason he scales as hard as he does.

OT: Use the fact that he pushes lane by just doing ANYTHING to your advantage; especially because he WILL run out of mana if he doesn't use his E, if you arn't ganking him at that point, then its your fault he gets farmed up and or fed kills.

Do NOT try to fight him alone, you will lose (I'm not sure why people even try to fight a duelist; its like trying to 1v1 Vayne lategame and then wondering why she obliterates you). Malz is pretty terrible at anything that isn't a 1v1.

Contrary to what people think, his teamfighting is pretty good; mostly because of his Q (while his W is strong, its generally only effective if he can lock you down in it, or if he has liandries + rylai's to chunk you from even touching it)

So uh. Don't try to 1v1 Malz.

Low cooldowns... All of his level 1 cooldowns are 9/14/15 seconds respectively (8.55, 13.3, 14.25 with cdr masteries) and only his E gets a shorter cooldown at higher ranks (6.65 with 5% cdr)

Malz is supposed to counter assassins. That's kind of his thing. He's the anti-assassin mage/assassin that no one refers to as an assassin because he has 0 mobility

He's been OP since forever, but since he doesn't fit the meta and has a very low play rate he's flown under the radar.

He has a very low playrate because he's largely ineffective outside of the laning phase so he only gets picked into very specific situations by those who do play him.

He's exceptionally good at shutting down assassins, with his silence, constant poke damage, hp shred, and the suppression. Assassins just can't do anything against him.
