Make All Champs OP

ItsOrval··3 votes·445 views

There is over a hundred champions in this game to choose from, yet you only see about 30 in actual ranked games due to them being 'broken'. Instead of nerfing all the champions making them 'balanced' (in other words useless), why not just make every champ op? This way you wont have to hear people crying that someone is broken when there are 100 other champions that are broken as well.

All the champions up there are strong and do their jobs right.

Well, some are arguably very bad in the meta like azir and kalista, who are intentionally being held back due to balance issues, but otherwise champions like twitch, gragas, gangplank, rammus, malphite, ETC are all fine if not functioning very well in their specific niche.

Well, I think the argument is more that those champions are kind of balanced? So the OP thinks that they need buffs to bring them up to the "broken" champions who aren't balanced? Rather than saying that they are weak?

I think?

He says "R. I. P. these champs". That definitely leads me to believe that they are "Dead" or "Underpowered"

Either way, it makes no sense.

Some of those champions are strong enough to be really popular. I see Fizz in my games all the time, for example.

Only maybe a handful of them are what might be considered weak, and even those tend to have their niches.

Also, other champions I'd expect to see in a list of "not played very often due to balance" champions are not there.

exactly.

There are so many "what the fuck, they are pretty strong" champions up there that it is mind blowing.

Because that way leads to power creep - a problem which League already has enough of.

You know how you have the most fun when both teams are playing champions which feel fair to play against? Where you feel that when you win, you did so fairly because you played better, and when you lose you feel that you lost fairly because your opponent played better? Those wouldn't happen. In your "buff everyone" world, you would instead have everyone feel unfair to play against. Fights would feel like whoever made the move first and got to unload their unfairness more quickly would win.

Also, with the numbers you've used, it's also the harder solution. It would be much, much harder to rebalance 100 champions up to the same level as the 30 top performers than it would be to rebalance those 30 down to the same level as the 100.

i love the way that was worded, but that isn't the case in many ways now. any melee vs Gnar, your fucked. Trundle into Poppy gl poppy. Malzahar into Yasuo, hasagi yourself. Too many games are won in champ select because a counterpick in any lane can cripple a lane, and the way 1st turret gold works, you have a 68% ish winrate for 1st blood tower. and with it, a lost tower is a snowball, and the game is too snowbally

Yes, there a bunch of champions who are rather hard counters for other champions, or even ones (such as Yasuo) with really binary matchups where they can either totally stomp or get stomped based on their opponent.

I'd argue that's a problem with those particular champions, and they should be rebalanced / reworked to bring them in line with League's proclaimed design goals on counterplay.

Happens like 1/20 games maybe?

All champs are OP, so whoever wins lane is clearly better...

Riots 'balance' method is:

Buff Champ - Realize its broken - Nerf champ into ground - Notice nobody plays it because underpowered - Buff Champ - Repeat

Making all champions strong would mean less problems with having to buff/nerf champs.
