When you are in ranked, you want to play to win. This cannot happen sometimes do to people who want to Lee sin mid, Yasuo jungle, Soraka top, etc.
If you decide to dodge from said queue, you will not only lose LP, but you will have to wait 6/15/? minutes. We should have a Vote to Dodge queue. This way when you end up getting troll queues, you can vote to dodge on your team, now you wont lose lp or have to wait to play again.

This is already a common problem with Junglers and Mid laners who try to hijack roles if they don't get the right one. With dodge votes, they would have a ready made excuse for trolling: "If they had a problem with my pick, they should have voted to dodge".

Voting to dodge only punishes players for going off-meta, which is not something that should be punishable by players. Sion support, MF support, tank Fizz/Akali/Ekko were all off-meta things that have proven their use (however niche they may or may not be). Punishing players for trying new things in normals, or bringing practiced off-meta things into ranked, is a terrible idea.
ItsOrval1 votesI agree with you, but lets be honest.. You arent going to carry top lane as a Soraka compared to a Fiora, Jayce, etc. When people go adcs as support, I dont care about that as much. Lots of champs in this game can be played as supports.
Also another thing to note, is when people are already toxic in the pregame lobby. Do you really want to play with a toxic person when the game hasnt even started yet? Just my thought.
DarkRitual2 votesI would never expect to carry from top lane. If you have a kill bot lane and tanky frontline jungle, having a supportive champ from toplane can be fine. Build for teamfights later, and do what you can to manage laning phase.
I don't usually deal with toxic people, but when I do they are only toxic in-game as well only half the time (very anecdotal evidence for sure). Nobody WANTS to deal with toxic people, but people wouldn't just vote to dodge toxic people, they would vote to dodge for bad teamcomps and off-meta picks more than to avoid negative players.

If someone wants to try something off-meta and you don't want to deal with it, ask nicely and they might swap for something more reasonable. If they don't, and end up costing you the game, you can report them and leave it up to riot to decide whether they are trolling. All of my best games have off-meta picks, because it puts old stuff under a new light.
The amount of trolls I've encountered out of all off-meta picks is under 5%. The rest are actually awesome teammates.

Bard R Friday2 votesIt's hard to distinguish from trolls and people who are skilled at their off meta pick, but you shouldn't be allowed to decide not to play with a certain pick that you don't like. I think most of the time someone playing off meta in ranked knows what they are doing, as they get penalties too if they're trolling, and if they are trolling they will be in a far lower MMR than you and not be in your games.
