why are people still taking aftershock on pyke?
it only gives 35 armor and mr now, and the damage scales on hp, which pyke doesn't have. So why are pyke players still taking this rune?

aftershock is good on pyke because in early game he can survive easier and in teamfights pyke usually has to get a pick then go in so it allows him to tank a little more before diving head first into the enemy team.
Are you even being serious though? You can't build any hp on that thing, resistances are the only thing you got.
give you access to the resolve tree unflinching for tenacity demolish or font of life being great runes on him bone plating against burst botlanes or second wind for poke lanes revitalize also works really well with his W
Short answer: People don't read patch notes.
Long answer: It's habitual at this point. Also, Aftershock is the only "support-like" rune that Pyke can take. I personally prefer Grasp for lategame myself.
I recently hit m7 with pyke using aftershock and let me tell u, if u take press the attack as the secondary rune, u are going to win a lot more games with him.
The aftershock rune helps in the early game and then in the mid to late game, u should be fed and dealling a ton more damage with press the attack.
So trust me, I know what I'm doing
