Unusual build I saw on Jhin

Hey,

I played ranked today and I saw an unusual Jhin build I thought I could share with you guys : As you know, Jhin's attack speed can't be increased. Any attack speed he gets will basically increase his damage instead by a %. Also, attack speed increases the movespeed bonus when he crits.

He went lethal tempo. Increasing his attack speed so he could get extra dmg For his third item, he got Guinsoo, as it could grant 24% extra ad and 48% attack speed on full stack, that would maybe boost his AD by 100 Finally, he got attack speed boots for extra ad

In the end, I saw his attack damage go as high as 1365 AD.

What do you guys think?

Interesting concept, but guinsoos is not a great pick on him because he struggles to stack it effectively. EDIT: Apparently it's a legit build is pro play.

Did you miss the part where Guinsoo's became meta on Jhin?

It's not built on him frequently, if at all according to the sites that I just checked. http://na.op.gg/champion/jhin/statistics/adc http://champion.gg/champion/Jhin/ADC?league=bronze

so i struggle to see how it is currently "meta"

You can see it being built on op.gg and high elo streamers such as Sneaky and QT are building it, achieving over 1000+ AD on Jhin. There's also been a lot of discussion League and the Jhin main subbreddit about it, asking for some kind of nerf.

Yep, it sounds like I'm wrong about this one and that it hasn't quite trickled down to lower elos yet. It's weird that the two high elo players I looked at (1, 2 ) aren't building though.

Well one of them has a 30% winrate right now so maybe they should give it a try, and the other does build it on Jhin, just later on

It's being used in pro play, it's a legit build. Don't listen to anyone that says otherwise.

Basically its rageblade, because Jhin treats bonus attack speed as a multiplier for his AD damage (since his rate of fire never goes up) the rageblade is arguably bugged with his passive giving a ridiculous amount of ad w/ each stack.

Theyre bugfixing this in 8.7 so that it isn't as ridiculously broken on him

I had a feeling this would be what you saw, this is a korean/chinese min/max strat that is doing pretty well right now.

People also dont notice that guinsoos does 5+ 10% bonus ad damage on hit, which with the number you stated, is a bonus of around 100.

LT isn't really standard. Higher windows of max damage but far less reliable than alternatives.

Guinsoos is very strong on Jhin because of the way it interacts with the huge amounts of AD his passive grants.

Berserkers is probably in a similar boat with LT of being suboptimal but results in bigger AD numbers. Tabis or swifties are prone to be better overall in the majority of cases I would think.

Yes, and IMO its balanced. No clue why they're nerfing this next patch. Jhin's whole identity is 'the ADC who shoots you once, but that one shot makes you go home and cry to your momma'. I think the fact he CAN get up to like 1200 AD late game is fine, considering he has pretty much no attack speed.

why not give jhin 1200 base ad folowing ur opinion

rageblade clearly wasnt made for jhin and he shouldnt be able to use it , if riot jusst organize items in a specifq categorys the game would be much less stupid to play
