That midlane midseason update last year really wrecked this game. It made the midlaners too strong and made a bunch of them became viable at bot lane. All Melee champs minus assassins are pretty much down across the board with melee supports becoming almost obselete. ADC's have always been weak and with games ending before 40, mid laners might do better at bot.
How much longer are we going to have to deal with this?
Become a mid lane main and climb to challenjour if they're so strong!

Tank supports being garbage has very little to do with the Mid-Season Mage Update update. Zyra and Brand already frequently saw play in support before that point, Malzahar only became popular a few months ago when people realized he was actually really stupid and now he's getting nerfed into oblivion until Riot can give him a rework that maybe won't make him a complete and utter game-warper. Ziggs is a weird adaptation that just kinda happened but is even more vulnerable than most meta bot laners, he gets destroyed by BotRK rush and Lethality. ADCs have not always been weak, I got not no idea where you're pulling that from, but they're also not supposed to be a massive 1v1 threat until they have a decent number of items or they're going for an early power-spike build.
Game changes all the time. Mid-lane won't always be what it is.
