Bot Laners, Do You Feel Ignored By Your Jungler? Does Elo Have An Effect?

I recently asked a group of league players whether or not elo has an impact on the amount of attention given to the bot lane. I seperated elo's into two groups, Plat 3 and below were considered "low elo" and plat 2 and above were considered "high elo". This is just my general opinion of where there is a large gap in mechanics i do not mean to degrade any players, i myself am in the lower half. From 110 responses, 91% believed that bot lane was ignored more in lower elo due to various reasons.

Some of the stated reasons were: Bot is a harder lane to gank due to the length of the lane so it is easier to camp top/mid. Bot Lane is nonexistent until i reach level 6. Every lane gets ganked less in lower elos. It is easier for the mid laner to gank bot so it falls to them to assist the bottom lane. Junglers in lower elos do not know how to correctly gank the lane due to its length, you do not always have to go through your side of the jungle to gank.

For the 9% that responded as there is less attention in higher elo, they related most of this reason due to better vision control in higher elos and better laning phases by their teammates. Their ability to know how to play from behind and not depend on the junglers intervention to help win back the lane.

A huge impact on this is obviously in champion choice in both your team and the enemy team. Champions who need to snowball and champions with low mobility may be hit with more ganks. Also what jungler you are on has a huge impact on where you can gank.

While this was a somewhat small sample size and im not 100% sure of the elos of those who gave responses i do believe that this is a common theme among players. I wanted to get feedback on the thread and your opinions!

To be honest when i jungle i very rarely gank bot. I like to camp top early, blow a flash and his teleport, then spend the next 5 minutes on the top side. It will snowball my top laner hard and more importantly tilt the living crap out of theirs.

Just ward up the enemy jungle top side and camp your butt off. If they wisen up and don't overextend...i'll sneak in from behind my turret and sit in the lane bush. 30-40 seconds later they think they're safe, they take one step too far from their turret and boom summoner 4 Udyr Bear slap to the face.

Shove the wave, proxy a bit, deny a bunch of cs, get some tower damage. They start spam pinging their jungler, their jungler finally comes, we already have a lead and win the 2v2. Top is now insanely far ahead, their top laner is raging and wants to FF. We both roam mid, 3 man dive mid, take mid tower.

NOW is when i start helping bot. Top is so far ahead he can do whatever he wants, We've opened up the map by taking the Mid tower, We have deep wards in the bottom side jungle all over the place. If my bot lane won the 2v2 it's easy to take their tower. If they lost the 2v2 my top laner can come with me to 4v2 in bot lane. Even if their ADC is fed...So is my top laner...and it's 4v2.

This snowballs across the map eventually leading to a win.

Now of course this doesn't happen every game but it's usually my game plan coming in. Most of the time i have to adapt and respond to the enemy jungler camping bot/mid or help someone who just can't handle their lane...but i usually make it my goal to get my Top laner insanely far ahead as quickly as i can.

I am but a lowly bronze 4 at the moment so don't take this all too seriously, i've just found it the most effective and SAFE way to snowball games as quickly as i can. There's just so many things that can go wrong ganking bot lane early. In top lane, if your Ally doesn't follow up on the gank, worst case they get away and you just wasted 30 seconds and gave up your position. Your ally doesn't follow up in Bot lane...You're probably going to die...Giving the enemy team gold, wasting a BUNCH of time, giving up map pressure, etc.

Bot lane also has twice as much ward coverage from the beginning of the game. Post 6-7 it's basically permawarded since the support has a item 2049 by now.
