Camille could have been a great assassin.
But she's just another mobile bruiser.

I was legitimately so disappointed with her reveal. Been a while since we've seen a good Assassin.
Riot hasn't created an assassin in 4 years.
And, unless assassin rework turns out to be a great success, they won't.
Assassins cause metric crap-ton of game health problems, and have exactly 0 positive effect on the meta - the only reason why they are in game, is because some people enjoy playing them.
Introducing more assassins, thus increasing problems with balancing them, before those problems are solved, would be a bad move.
That being said it's never stopped Riot before. Assassins serve as a class built around killing Choice targets. They're just not balanced well enough for that. In the current meta they're effectively crucial. Having an extremely fed Vayne or Twitch on the enemy team with no means to kill them is where Assassins come in. As much as it would be a bad move to introduce a new Assassin at the current time, it's never stopped Riot in the past. They don't release champions according to the meta, heck even this year Taliyah and Ivern were released in a meta completely unbefitting to them.

Extremely fed Vayne or Twitch is exactly where you prefer a diver who can not only deal damage, but lock them down for a while. Zed or Talon are likely to get killed by them when they try to gib them, unless they are also extremely fed. As I said, assassins have no use-case. They are in the game simply because some people like them.

No, not right now. Riot haven't released any assassins for more than half of this games lifespan.
the core problem with assassins as a class is that right now, at least in the minds of the community, what defines a well designed assassin character is whether the enemy champion is dead at the end of the combo.
When riot figures out how to give assassins a better core game play fantasy than "you = dead", than we can have more of them in the game.
by better i mean you get to have the game play fantasy even in a condition where you have to run without achieving anything in the game and lose objectives.
Well, if she stays the way she is on PBE, she's a damn good assasins that works as a bruiser with melee-carry dps. All at the same time. Like post buff release Yasuo....
This. Good god is she going to be painful to play against for most champions in the game.
even though she has abilities similar to other champions, she feels like Vi 2.0

Actually...Yeah I can see that.

My bad I'll fix it bad engrish is bad.
LUL
I think she does just fine as an assassin tbh. She both a strojg initiation and the ability to stop her target from escaping.
I can't wait to play against her as Sion or Yorick, it'll be great.

I think Illaoi will have a field day with her.
Am I trapped in here with you or are you trapped in here with me. >:)
Im form future.
Camille is played as a ultra-mobile, full tank (like tank Ekko) after some pro played her that way in LCS... Those are dark times... I cant... write m..re... conne..ion lost.
With pointy blade legs, it's a shame she's just gonna build 1/2 damage items at most and then just tank it
I wouldn't say she's not an assassin
He two shots people multiple times, dealing over 1k true damage. I think she definitely has the power to be an assassin
