So, uh... I just have to ask about Kayle's ultimate

..Why an AOE Nuke? When Neeko has one, too. Why? Isn't being able to give complete invulnerability to any ally champion on a low cooldown enough? What's with the recent obsession with AOE nukes, and why does every new champion need them?

Yeah, and the fact that she's not allowed to basic attack while having it on herself feels clunky.

Just remove the damage nuke. Nobody asked for it.

They removed power from her ultimate by disallowing her to just pop it and wail on the enemy so that they could add power in other parts of her kit. I think it'a a good change, personally.

I'd rather be able to wail (as Kayle was fully capable of pre-rework), than get a big AOE attack.

and thats why she was kept in gutter a lot of her history. Ranged hypercarry with 3 secs of invulnerability sounds like a kind of busted concept. Im glad that she can't aa for 1.5 secs after ulting, that's a good change

Okay, but melee hypercarry with 5 seconds of invulnerability and a dash is fine?

yes, because he's easily kiteable in teamfights, his "invulnerability" isn't actually invulnerability and he doesn't have any innate defense shred. Trynda is a top notch duelist and bad-to-mediocre teamfighter, Kayle was a top notch teamfighter and top notch duelist who was gated only be her early (which wasn't even bad due to her E)

Those nukes are made because they are flashy, and very visible. They make a great show when watching them.

Stupid, but whatever. Nothing will change at this point.

The "low cooldown" is now 160 seconds at rank 1 on the PBE though

lol you call this a fucking nuke at max rank it is 500 +80%ap and 100%ad like no that is not a nuke for reference neeko ult is 650 plus 130% ap and nunu can do 1275 plus 250% ap.

Because Riot have a great champion design team that comes up with loads of unique new abilities and definitely dont remove uniqueness from champions when they decide to 'rework' them

So what uniqueness did they remove here?

The CD is long as fuck and it’s obvious Riot tried to stay true to her old kit, which is nice.
