How is support Trundle a thing?
"KING OF TROLLS COMING THROUGH!"
"Ward that bush over there."

Has such a good e which can split a team. Also steals stats from tanks which makes it easier for them to be killed.
don't forget q chomp stealing ad right?
Good question. At first I thought it was just an Fnatic gimmick, turns out his soloQ winrate is 56%. 56 fucking percent.
He has no base damages and only a single CC, beats me as to how he is such a good support.
That's not his support winrate though...
It is his support winrate. http://champion.gg/champion/Trundle/Support
But yeah, only 677 games played, means that he's mainly played by trundle mains who know what they're doing. Also, he's often picked with Vayne for the pillar stun combo.

It didn't even occur to me that he could get a pillar/stun combo, lol. That's awesome.
The boost to his ult was game changing. He can solo pretty much anyone now.

While I would never have thought to even try it for a few reasons (I prefer him in the jungle or occasionally top lane, and Trundle scales too well with items for me to consider supporting with him), looking at his kit I actually get why he would be a viable, if situational support.
First, look at Trundle's base stats. I'm pretty sure that every one of them is above average.
Then think of his passive. His passive gives him health every time his ADC kills a creep. He gets health sustain from literally doing nothing. I can't think of any other support that shares such a thing.
His Q, along with being a solid enhanced AA, grants him bonus AD and decreases the AD of the enemy ADC. In all-ins or trades this could be a big deal. In the early game I think this is actually huge, to be honest.
His W doesn't benefit his carry per say, it only helps him close the distance, deal more damage, and sustain himself better, but it's a good ability in general.
His E is stronk as fuck. Cuts off escapes, slows the enemy, pushes them closer so you can quickly get in their grill with frozen domain. I'd imagine you could also use it to take the enemy ADC out of the fight if they are a bit too far away from the Leona that just went in on your ADC.
His R though... imagine Leona coming in on your carry with her E. Then imagine Trundle making that Leona barely tankier than the ADC while making himself almost impossible to kill, and draining her health rapidly. Subjugate seems like it would seriously counter tanky all-in supports like Nautilus, Leona, or Alistar.
With all this said, I might actually try Trundle support in the near future. It seems neat.
His Q doesn't steal AD anymore. it just boosts his own.
No, it reduces his target's AD by half of the AD he gains.

This post explains pretty well. tl;dr: He's not a solid pick in general, but he was good against the enemy team comp.
I played Trundle Support sometime in 2014.
I accidentally blocked off my ADC with my pillar and got her killed.
