I would love if we had a chat window in-game for talking to friends directly

So essentially having a way to switch between the general chat in-game and a private chat with your premade who's on your team...

It's just too hard to have to type this every time (as specially if they have a really hard name or unusual letters in their name, which you can't just type out normally)...

I mean Riot created the Voice Chat function, having a seperate chat with a simple switch of a tab would be pretty neat.

You don't need to type the entire name every time. As soon as they message you once ingame you can press /r and their name will appear after you press space.

If you are talking to multiples voice is what you should do.

I know of that, but what if you want to message them first whilst you're in-game and you can't because you can't write up the special character in their name.

you can alt+tab and message from client. then when they respond message with /r.

You can also pre emptively send a msg to your friends in loading and they send back and it will show ingame and be able to /r
