Can morello or vesh answer this little question?

Why wasn't soraka's rework just put on a new champ so her current kit won't be broken and lost to the game? Or put soraka's current kit on a new champ. I'm not against the martyr champ idea, I'm against the loss of Soraka's kit as a whole.

There's no one quite like soraka right now and after the rework goes live, there won't be. Why not give the people who like her current kit the benefit of the doubt that there are things she does mechanically that the rework or no other champ can do?

Why are the soraka fans who liked her old kit wrong? Why are the people who liked the mana gift wrong? Why are the people who wanted her tanky wrong? Why are people who wanted a battlemage who can heal others a little wrong? Why are people who wanted a diverse role champ like she was wrong?

As a support main, who liked Sorakas old kit I think I can answer some of those questions.

Why wasn't soraka's rework just put on a new champ so her current kit won't be broken and lost to the game? The "old kit" already was a new one. It turned her from a walking Flask into an AP bruiser, which was an improvement, but one in the wrong direction. It is great playing her as a battle mage, but it's difficult playing her as the support healer she is supposed to be.

Why are the soraka fans who liked her old kit wrong Not sure that even applies, the new kit is based on the old one and not that different.

Q is still an AoE damage, but ranged instead of PB. Hitting it still improves your heal. W is still a heal, but a lot stronger one. E is still a silence, just a bigger one. R is pretty much the same as it was.

Why are the people who liked the mana gift wrong? They weren't, not at all. Even Vesh says he wants to keep it, he just has trouble fitting it in.

**Why are the people who wanted her tanky wrong? ** You mostly build her tanky to get your close range MR shred in (AP bruiser style) They couldn't buff her heal while still having her tanky. It would make the Team nearly immortal.

**Why are people who wanted a battlemage who can heal others a little wrong? ** There are other battlemage healers, Kayle for example, but no real main healer.

Why are people who wanted a diverse role champ like she was wrong? Diverse Role champs aren't wrong (mentioning Kayle again) it's just that they are difficult to handle, Keeping them viable in one role while not making them too strong in another (Alistar)

Right now there are already several people (me included) who think the new Soraka could make a good and decidely different jungler.

But I was playing her as an AP bruiser before she was an AP bruiser in season 4. And riot could have just unlinked the Q from the W to fix that mess for her solo lane.

Not sure that even applies

Yes it does. Her Q changes her positioning in a fight or team fight. Her W lost its armor buff and kills you. Her E lost both its poke, its low recharge, and the mana gift.

Even Vesh says he wants to keep (the mana gift), he just has trouble fitting it in.

Not my problem. He's putting it on PBE and probably live without it. What he wants and what he released are two different things.

Since riot has this martyr kit for a new champ, she doesn't need her heal buffed. They are rewriting the bloody lore, she doesn't have to be the primary healer champ anymore. Plus she has Wish, which if you ask me acts as the big heal in her kit. She could survive with a smaller W.

She'll get creamed there, particularly early game. Her Q does virtually no damage and isn't spammable until leveled and it won't trigger her W's healing because jungle mobs aren't champs. She only self heals when hitting champs.

And that's just the mobs, what happens when the other team sees that she's the jungler and invades her hard? She'll be useless and feeding.

It only changes the position if you want it too, you can still use it point blank, but now you also have the option to step back. Yeah not sure why they removed that armor buff, but effectively you don't need it anymore, the heal is so strong. Also you wont be killing yourself wiht it. You only need two or three heals to completely recharge a champ. And hitting one starcalls mitigates two of them.

True, but that doesn't have to do with your question (players aren't wrong about it)

Of course they could totally change her, but I thought it was you who was against change?

She has more damage and half the cooldown of Alistar, who I still use to jungle with. And a Jungler with spirit stone has all the heal they need. Hard invades are a problem for any jungler. and need counter from lanes. Besides during an invade her self healing works again.

1.No really decision making.

2.Solo lane Raka would go really tanky(with AP),in a fight would be really hard to decide who to focus.Should i focus the healer(who is really tanky+heals) or her allies(which she can heal, becaseu of enough solo lane gold).

3.The only thing worse in her updated kit is the %HP cost(which needs time getting used too),everything else is better. She has CC,playmaking potential and also a 2sec heal(110-230+ 0.55AP!!).

Did i forget anything?

Soraka had a bit of subtle decision making in certain situations. Mana gift allies or use it for the silence? W the initiator early for the armor buff or save it for healing in case they imitate or counter initiate? Push the lane with starcall or not? Build full support or get a sightstone and go off tank-mage? How long do you save your ult?

They could have also rebalanced her kit as a tanky mage with a weaker heal in her W for more of a solo lane champ. Like nidalee's and kayle's heals are balanced.

There is so many things wrong that what you jsut stated.

In lane play passive(no pushing with Q) and use E for mana gifting. In figth use E to silenced the biggest threat. W was alittle confusing(what if u play against a team that deals primary AP damage,AR=useless).

Coudl have done that, but it would have been toxic and unfun to play againt.
